  1. Reason for this is because when creating new redemption awards they always add the beginning of the list, what if I wanted to do specific orderings. I would like to remove the "new" indicator or have it say new but in the correct sorted order.

    As an aside, I would also love to see bulk redemption pushing, havent seen a way to do this one either.

  2. Please provide a topic that emits when an extension is activated/deacted/changed in a slot on a channel.

    I would not expect it to require a scope as https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-user-active-extensions doesn't require a scope.

    It would be useful to monitor/confirm into third party tooling that extensions have been updated, especially when the dashboard is used to update, or it's auto updated due to an extension/game automatic switch.

  3. CRUD for bet as streamer
    CRUD for bet as viewer

    As streamer:

    • Being able to start/cancel a bet from endpoint
    • Being able to state who won from endpoint
    • Maybe get stats about the bet (invested coins, status, nb of participant, ...) (as Events or/and as HTTP API)

    As viewer:
    - Receive an Event when there is a new bet
    - Get bet info using endpoint (remaining time, title, bet A, bet B, nb of people who bet)
    - Place a bet using endpoint
    - Event win or lose

  4. Allow filtering the event sub subscriptions list by specific transport destinations

    Some people may use a clientID to feed more than one application.
    So being able to ask the API to filter by destination would be useful.

  5. Honestly this whole documentation is a bit sloppy. There should be clearer examples of using the APIs as I had to go Googling how the authentication actually works as the headers seem to be different than this suggests.

  6. There are reference to V5 API here to get user and channel ID.
    Combined with the GitHub Sample at https://github.com/twitchdev/pubsub-javascript-sample that is still using it this is very confusing to get to work.
    Suggest to update the sample and this article to reference the helix APIs instead.

  7. Via IRC we can get emotes in message shared with cheer for clean the message for use via TTS or showing message with image for replace emote.

    I think you have to add this field in this event because we already have message shared but can't parse it.

  9. https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc/guide#command--message-limits says:
    - 20 authenticate attempts per 10 seconds per user (200 for verified bots)
    - 20 join attempts per 10 seconds per user (2000 for verified bots)

    however it's unclear how these limits apply to anonymous connections. Is there no limit to join attempts at all when you have authenticated as an anonymous user? And do authentication attempts for anonymous users (NICK justinfan12345) count towards the rate limit?

  10. Topic.

    Cannot control highlight message/unlock emote rewards to enable/disable/change price or even list them etc via this API

    Example usages

    We might turn off emote "buying" on a Thursday as we are about to load a WHOLE new Set in for a big game on Monday. Is one thought.

    But I can't automate them.

    Also any number of tasks the streamer would like us (moderators/staff of the channel) to help manage but we can't if those rewards are API locked (and UI locked) out from "channel staff" being able to help manage

    Additionally, I'll get asked by the streamer I…

  11. Cheering Bits is the most famous way to support a streamer. However, it can be somewhat challenging for new users to get familiar with the Twitch Chat commands to properly do so.

    I propose an API which allows to trigger a regular cheer.
    This call obviously should not be signed instantly, but sandboxed where the Twitch backend requires a "Yes / No" response via GUI from the user.

    I think this can improve the user experience a lot and it can also improve the general usage of Twich Bits.
    For instance, many streamers use overlays in their stream to react…

  12. The page at

    https://dashboard.twitch.tv/u/barrycarlyon/community/channel-points/rewards

    Will list all rewards.

    But it's not super obvious which rewards "I made" or which rewards "an API call" made.

    So in theory a streamer not paying attention could delete an integration created reward.

    I'm not saying "remove" the delete button, just add additional wording

  14. It should be more obvious that Twitch IRC: Commands needs the commands capability, Twitch IRC: Tags needs the tags capability, Membership page needs the membership capability.

    IE:

    Literally add a paragraph at the top to the effect of

    The Twitch IRC responses outlined on this page requires the connection to have requested the $whatever capability as outlined on the https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc/guide#twitch-irc-capabilities Capabilities section of the guide.

  16. Submitting this on behalf of Jeff Fritz, which he mentioned while talking about a Channel Points streaming opportunity. I was talking about building an example that uses webhooks to flag when a specific category is selected for a stream so a developer knows when to enable or disable a channel points reward. His question was why Twitch doesn't handle that automatically.

    If there was an optional category property that could be set when creating the custom reward, Twitch could potentially handle enabling/disabling a reward more reliably if the context for switching is a category update, which would probably be the…

  17. Many times, "viewer_count" response field doesn't change during several minutes (due to caching?). However, when you're watching a stream you can see how this data is refreshed each 20-25 seconds.

    Benefit: Increase the precision of apps that use this field

  18. Old API allowed you to only get clips with a specified language. Since this is not in the new API, sorting clips through language, ends up eating through your requests. Since you have a limit of 100, about 1/3 of clips gathered will NOT be English, meaning you have roughly 66 clips. Would be nice if that could be added to allow requests to return more clips.

  19. https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc/tags#usernotice-twitch-tags documents anonsubgift and anongiftpaidupgrade. I found this announcement post https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/anonymous-sub-gifting-to-launch-11-15-launch-details/18683 saying that apparently it was temporarily disabled as a workaround. As far as I can tell to this day the workaround is used. The documentation should be updated to remove the originally planned but never put into service types, and instead document that anonymous gifts come from AnAnonymousGifter.

  20. The cheers topic of PubSub doesn't give emote placement like the Subscribers topic does.

    Please extend cheers topic to include the Emote placement like Subscriptions does

    For example

          "sub_message": {
            "message": "A Twitch baby is born! KappaHD",
            "emotes": [
              {
                "start": 23,
                "end": 7,
                "id": 2867
              }
            ]
          }

    Should be included with Cheers on PubSub
