Twitch has Responded, saying they have no plans to put ICE Advertisement on Twitch. At least for now, it seems like they've heard us.

As they've said on Social Media, there was no plans or talks as yet. There was reporting on them trying to get Amazon on board. Check Zach Bussey's posts. Easier to prevent those ads than stop them once started.

But it needs to stay this way, this suggestion should help make that stick.

pretending like there's not a cruel dictatorship enabling the trafficking and kidnapping of individuals who have the right to due process is abhorrent, to say the least. DO NOT ENABLE THIS FURTHER. STAND UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT. the entirety of the twitch community EXPECTS this platform to be a place where ALL are welcome. allowing ICE job recruitment ads not only goes against that, but directly pushes people away from this community due to the allowance of this horrid set of ICE advertisements. they invoke fear and make thousands feel very unsafe.

Recruiting ads for ICE, recruiting ads for the army to occupy other countries. I would not be shocked if Dan Clancy runs propaganda ads from AIPAC and IDF.

You must be morally bankrupt if you think it's acceptable to run such advertisements.

why is twitch promoting fascism? this is completely unacceptable. keep the American gestapo recruitment ads to Fox News and get them off of twitch

Twitch should give creators the option to block ads from government or political organizations on their streams. The idea that they could run on my channel is really concerning. It’s not something I or anyone in my community would feel comfortable with.

Our streams reflect our values, and we should have some control over the types of ads that appear alongside our content. Whether it’s political campaigns, law enforcement agencies, or other government actors, creators should be able to opt out of categories that don’t align with their audience or values.

This isn’t just about ad revenue, it’s about trust and making sure our channels remain safe and welcoming spaces.

Many outspoken members of the Twitch community, myself included, support the current administration's enforcement of the law and deployment of ICE to ensure the safety and long-term wellbeing of American citizens. Each government has the right to and actively does deport those who entered or are staying illegally. ICE and other government entities have and should continue to be able to post their advertisements just as any other interest groups that advocate for abortion, LGBT groups, or other controversial topics have the right to do, regardless of current controversy.

Not just ICE. I don't want to see any branch of any military force run recruitment ads on Twitch. Hold your advertisers to the same guidelines you hold streamers to, or does the fact they're giving you money change things? It's ridiculous, regardless, it all sucks. Police, militaries, none of these things should be advertising on ANY website.

You, Twitch, control what ads play on my channel and I have no say in the matter. That's fine. I understand. I am part of the system where which I am not the product, the viewers are. I am a platform to deliver an audience to advertisements. That's your business model. That's how it works.

That being said, the choice of advertisement you play shows the organizations from which you will accept money to deliver a manipulation tactic to what is hoped to be an impressionable audience. By showcasing an advertisement for an organization devoted to a fascist regime who has been abducting citizens of my country, you are complicit in their crimes. You are serving as a platform to recruit to an evil organization who seeks to make this land less safe for viewers and streamers alike.

We streamers have no way to control or regulate which ads are played on our ad breaks. Maybe this is the point where such a system must now be created. I will not ever support any ads for ICE or other agency which has demonstrated illegal activity of secret-police-like methods originating from the totalitarian regimes of history.

I am publicly denouncing any ICE advertisement on my channel. Twitch Interactive Inc., I sincerely hope that these were nothing more than an idea that went too far, that you will be retracting any such implementation.

Many creators and viewers have begun implementing countermeasures to such ads which will cause lower ad revenue for both the platform and the creator. Additionally, Report teams will be inundated with volumes of offensive/inappropriate reports.

Please: remove such ads from your platform. Implement a new program which allows streamers to have more of a say in which ads play on their channels. Provide a safer viewing experience for the viewers whom are the true targets of these advertisements.

If i ever see an ICE ad on twitch i'm never returning to the website ever again.
