Indie Games/Indie Horror Games categories NEEDED
Indie games on Twitch have close to zero discoverability. As an indie horror streamer myself, it would be amazing if instead of choosing the game title (that most won’t know to look for) there was a category for Indie Horror Games. Indie Horror Games should have it’s own category much like Retro Games do. The same goes for all other genres of indie games. Even just an Indie Games category in general would help. Not only would it give more discoverability to indie game streamers, but also to the indie game developers as well. I know many other streamers who would like to see this happen! Thank you for your time.

I really support this idea. I've been streaming horror games ever since I started. Horror streamers are very rare and niche, it will help us grow and get people interested in what they really like. Tags are not enough for full discoverability. Same for the browse tool, we need help.

I think the amount of horror streamers dictates the need for this category!!

Please create an "Indie Horror Game" category on Twitch. Many streamers, myself included, stream Variety Horror Games that don't fit into any other game category (including Games + Demos which is too wide of a net).
By creating this specific category, it will allow Creators + Viewers to better connect and provide better discoverability within the specific niche.

I second this! It's a very specific niche that's getting completely ignored because we don't have the category!

Please do this. It's pretty imperative so that our fans know what they are in for.

Hello. I am a variety caster with the record for most live streamed scary games, at well over 4000 horror titles. The problem I have as well as other streamers ; is the game category. Many of our games are independent horror titles that no one has ever heard of, student, personal projects and or small studios. Most titles can be found on itch.io, gamejolt and the like.
When we stream these games we have no official game category to list them under. Example last night I streamed 10 of these games, and have to resort to placing the stream in "Just Chatting" because there is no clear category. There are titles that exist that some people use like "horror stories" but these are for actual games that exist and not searched.
It would be very helpful to have a game category added such as "Indie Horror". This way there is a specific category for people who want to search of indie horror games. It would also be extremely helpful to streamers who stream back to back indie horror games, and don't have a category for each of them.
I personally have been dealing with this issue for over 4 years and know many other streamers that have the same issue. Thanks. -

This sounds like an interesting idea. Those type of games are usually the short single player type so there's not going to be a large cache of footage to warrant each individual game getting a full-on stream depending on how long the streamer goes for.

It’s like a variety show! Or the like. Less than three.

I would like to see a new directory where we're able to stream all the smaller quirky indie titles such as those on steam as the likelihood of viewers coming across those games is very low. This way these smaller games/streamers will be given more exposure.
Love you.
