More visibility as a black or bipoc or other marginalized creators & how do those who are partnered get more frequent front page opps
Twitch is always asking what they can do better to help elevate and support their bipoc/marginalized creators, but also if they do a good job growing them. My answer to that question has always been a strong no. It feels like there are no means for bipoc/marginalized creators who are not white or white passing to get opportunities such as often being on front page or even marketing unless you know someone who knows someone, or in general are favored by someone within the company. When I contact support as a partner how to be on front page more frequently and what are the requirement I get the same copy pasta stating I need to maintain 200 subs that aren't gift but also not be on front page in the last 6 month which often confuses me, because the same white/white passing creators be on front page all the time. I feel often time the responses and requirements feel gate keep-y of marginalized creators trying to find ways to grow or opportunities in general. This even happened to me when trying to get on board for marketing for pride month, black history month, or women's history month...I do all the things that are asked of me and my due diligence even contact support/community team months before events and either never hear back or get the generic copy pasta response. It feels disheartening to love this platform and to had been making content on it since 2014 to feel overlooked, ignored, and especially disliked from a platform I have so much love and passion for. With these constant road blocks though it's very telling that it seem twitch doesn't want to help highlight their marginalized creator especially the bipoc ones unless it is during our holidays, weeks, or etc. I hope that changes. I hope there are more ways black creators can get in better communication to be considered for front page consistently.
p.s I still don't have a partner manager and have been partnered since 2020
