Not to mention, "Featured Streamers" has been the same people/games for MONTHS. CSGO, Ninja, OverBoardGaming, Chess or some other VERY niche game, crappy indie game.

Just the same recycled trash OVER and OVER and OVER again.

Not just the option to remove this, but options to turn off MANY features. Not everyone wants to use them, just give us the option to turn them off.

It's NOT that hard.

I uninstalled my twitch app but it's still broadcasting when trying to broadcast my mixer channel it's saying the twitch app is. progress but I stopped it and uninstalled

This worked for me: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/betterttv/ajopnjidmegmdimjlfnijceegpefgped?hl=en

I just signed up to twitch, I didn't know about this awful feature. I probably won't use twitch much due to this.

I've installed this addon in my Firefox to get rid of it. It helps!

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-autoplay/

Even if you don't disable the autoplay video, please at least disable the autoplay sound.

Agreed. It's irritating for a page to blast audio and waste data by streaming anytime I haven't navigated to a page for that purpose.

I like twitch streamers with low view count, because that means I am able to interact and get to know the person on a more personal level. That's just not possible when they have as many viewers as a featured streamer does. I've never wanted to watch any of the streamers shown, because all they play is PUBG, CSGO, Fortnite or some newly released game.

I agree!

I agree. Please make it so that we can turn of auto play for the featured broadcast. Also we need a feature to turn of auto play on peoples channels.

This is so annoying. Gives me a jumpscare every time I open the website. Instead why not just show it as featured without it actually playing the stream automatically. Or at least just have it playing with muted sound. I just started using twitch and after some times this happened had to find if there was a way to turn that annoying feature off.

Only just started using twitch and first thing I'm trying to do is find out how to turn it off. What a fucked up platform

PLEASE make this true!! I hate having a random video playing when I open Twitch.

Another vote to allow users to turn this feature off. Should not be that hard to do.

Please add a setting to shut this off... It is so annoying. We should have the choice to turn it off completely.

I stopped coming to the site because of it

Please, remove them or put an option to not shown or at least to not autoplay them or mute them.
It's annoying as an user not to have control on what you can or can't see in a page.

I hate the autoplay featured broadcaster so much.

I like Twitch, but it's obnoxious when websites jam advertisements for content I have zero interest in down my throat.

Better Twitch TV extension to your browser can block the autoplay feature, remove recommendations etc.
I don't know what Twitch is thinking with these "improvements"... Watching less and less on that platform lately because of it...
