Mute sound / video of recommended streams on the main page, before entering the site, in the settings

I went to the main page of Twitch and automatically, on the main screen, they began to show me a stream of a certain "buster" who was shouting deafeningly. How can you turn off autoplay of such junk content?

Automatic and loud. I don't enjoy watching streamers that have thousands of viewers.

I dont like to open twitch and have a video that automatically start, I really hate it. When I iopen twitch, I want to see a video i want to see, not a random video that start with no reason, I really hate this function.

This needs to go. It is wholly useless to me, plus I despise videos playing automatically.

    Please remove these Featured Broadcasts.
Dont know how to get rid of them.

twitch, can't believe that you don't respond to anyone's comments on this issue.

Found that a Chrome add-on called 'Disable HTML5 Autoplay' will do the trick. Video is queued up, but won't run without user interaction.

Damn, it's so annoying, would love to meet the idiot who thought this was a good idea.

Or at least don't have it on autoplay. Heck, don't have anything that I don't click on as autoplay. Every company ever could use listen to this.

Please give us a option to turn off auto-play of featured broadcasts...

Stopped coming to the site in part to this. Especially when half the time it isnt even a damn video game, its some woman doing some IRL trash that no one cares about.

Just make it an optional feature. Everyone hates it. Thanks.

  • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Report

Oh yes please. Give us the option to remove that crap, whoever wants it can turn it on, and who does not would just turn it off
