Channel sidebar is scrolling down by itself
After I click "Show more", whenever my mouse leaves the sidebar, it scrolls itself down. This is jarring and breaks all sorts of UX norms. Please stop it.

just noticed that it seems to be actually tied to the 'show more'/'show less' buttons and whether or not they can be seen on the page. when you press show more once, the issue doesn't happen because the more/less buttons are still visible. if you show more again and scroll the stream list, the page will reset if you scroll back to the top because the more/less buttons arent shown. this is also true if you show more 2x and then manage to press the little arrow that collapses the stream list to show just the icons. it won't to the automatic scroll because the more/less buttons are gone.

I'm also having this issue. However, I just upgraded to windows 11 and I don't remember having this issue with windows 10. Does that has something to do with it or is it just pure coincidence?

I have the same issue, though it appears to happen for me even when I first open twitch regardless of clicking "show more". It's pretty rough, I'm always clicking on things I don't want to because of it.

Whenever i click show more on the channel sidebar, it prevents me from scrolling back up to the top. This can be fixed by simply clicking somewhere, as though i need to deselect or something.
The streamview scrolls down a bit whenever i move my mouse from the channel sidebar to the streamview, but this is based on my window size, as it scrolls down to show all channel tags, zooming out till all tags are visible without scrolling prevents this from happening.
It's a strange pair of issues to be honest, and while managable, they are annoying.
edit: just noticed that i can stop the streamview from scrolling down by clicking the top bar, so it's probably some kind of element focus thing.

This has been happening for two months now, it can't be that hard to fix such a small and yet annoying problem

After years still not solved. Now I have this problem in Brave Browser, too.

I have this also. Do the people who work on twitch just want it to be the worst UI experience possible?

To solve, in FireFox. Go into your settings and turn off "autoscroll" for text reading.
It seems to fix on my Twitch now. It would happen when pressing show more. And it would either jump to the top or bottom. Or if I middle mouse click on a channel I wanted, and then it jumps and hits the channel above or below.
Now with the setting turned off. I can control the scroll with the wheel, and the jumping has stopped. -
