I would love a "Beadwork" tag
I exclusively stream beadwork and none of the current categories fit my type of craft. "Jewelry" sort of works for beaded medallions and earrings, but not for patches, wall decor and traditional regalia. Because of this, I believe this will be harder for fans of this craft to find relevant streams. Instead, potential viewers will have to find streams by chance or filter through tags until they get lucky. Which is exactly what I did until I finally found other beaders. All of which list their craft under different tags. If not a dedicated beadwork tag, allow streamers to add one custom tag to their streams to prevent tag spamming.
Hi there,
With the recent introduction of a new feature, I'm happy to announce that you should be able to add "Beadwork" as a tag and describe your stream in your own words with the help of custom tags! For more information, feel free to check out our blog post here.

I think adding the tag Beadwork should be added. A number of the streamer do only beading. I know this tag would make it easier for people to locate more of the talented streamers of Twitch.tv.

I would like to re-iterate the need for this tag. I have found a home amongst Twitch streamers that mainly stream about beading and it's not just jewelry. My first enabled project from this craft was a 3D object that's not even close to the jewelry or jewelry-making category. The more I follow beading streamers, the more I learn that there is a deep history in the art of beading and beadwork. As my growing stash of beads may be proof, I'm knee deep in the craft and still have so much to learn.

Beadwork tag would be an awesome addition! As part Native American who has made traditional beadwork, along with non-Native jewelry and artwork this would be wonderful to help beadwork creators and viewers connect!

I support adding a beadwork tag. Twitch has the power to enable artists and viewers to connect in new and exciting ways. It is essential to provide representation to all types of artists through this platform to help build community, grow support for artists, and empower viewers to find exactly what they want to watch.

I stream beadwork creations, both traditional Dreamcatchers, as well as not so traditional 3D beadwork art. And I have streamed these topics since 2016, I am shocked and surprised that I am still constantly encountering people thrilled this many years later to find another beadworker. It should not be that hard to find us. Also - Traditional Native American Beadwork art deserve to be represented and findable - as much as music, hot tubs and games. Especially those who create spiritually significant cultural items, enabling others on this platform to learn and become educated about the process and traditions behind our techniques. Please consider this as not only an ask from those who want to be found and make new friends on this social platform, but as also a request from a Canadian Metis Nation of Alberta card carrying member trying to reconnect with my roots. We want representation. A Beadwork tag is needed.

Having a beadwork tag would be so beneficial to introduce new people to the craft. It's apalling how we haven't had one for so long, and yet the beading community continues to grow, turning to live video streaming services such as Twitch as more and more magazines dedicated to the craft get shut down.

I stream mostly bead work and do much more than just jewelry. Having a beadwork tag would be great. Especially for those day where I am doing 3d bead art, keychains, pens or anything else with bead that isn't in the jewelry category.

I have been exclusively streaming with seed beads for over two years and none of the current tags fit what I do and would love to see a tag for "beadwork" included, not only so that my streams can have at least one accurate tag, but also for my own benefit of finding other like-minded creators. Finding other beaders on the platform has been difficult as the only way to do so is searching the entirety of the Makers & Crafting category or by word of mouth on a 3rd party platform. Allowing access to a single tag that encompasses all beadwork would be incredibly beneficial to the Twitch community for streamers and viewers alike.

I stream mostly beadwork and have been for a bit over 2 years. I enjoy my beading and my followers like to watch my beadwork and how I have evolved. I find that the categories you have are not sufficient to describe my art. Because you do not have a beadwork category it makes if difficult for me to find, support and follow other beaders.

I have exclusively been streaming beadwork as well for well over three years. In that time, the only reachability we get is through random chance, filtering through other tags, or by word of mouth. These are all well and good, and even fantastic at times, but it doesn't help people new to the platform who may be looking for like minded creators. I have been an exclusive seed beader for almost 20 years, and tags such as jewelry making, fiber arts, glasswork, and perlers do not at all encapsulate the artform. They are merely the substitutes I'm forced to use. If Beading or Beadwork is not considered for a tag, I would also argue to allow all streamers a custom tag that they're able to use to most accurately describe their work.

Bead work is great, there's tons of different ways to use beads. There's many people that work with beads to create things for everyday life, even if it's a decoration.

Bead work is used in every category of arts and crafts and not to have it is such a shame.
It is also an ancient and tribal craft celebrated by all.
Why would you deny people this very important and historical category. -

I watch a fair amount (2-4) of beading streamers and have actually gotten into the craft myself because of it, but it would be helpful to have a beading/beader tag to be able to find others that stream it.

We need more tags for Crafters and Makers. Beading is huge on Twitch but it's difficult to find beaders and beadworkers without a specific tag.

I do beading crafts each week, but there are no tags for this kind of Makers & Crafting. It's super niche (I've only been able to find other wire crafters, not bead crafters), but maybe the tag would bring us together as an international beading stream community, and also have our craft shared more openly.
Thank you~ -
