Random Stream Button
The discovery page lacks a "Play Random" feature. It might be fun and interesting to enter a random stream in a Category. It might help casual and new users find entertaining streams much easily and faster.
The user that clicks on the button will be forwarded to a random stream in the previously chosen category. To find another stream the user will simply click on the same button that will appear on the header of the page.

This is a great idea! This would expose a lot of viewers to a lot more chanels, so while the retention is lower, streams that are actually "underrated and high quality/entertaining" get a chance to prove themselves

This, but replace partner with small.

A channel flick button, that flicks to a completely random channel (the key point of this whole idea) every time it gets clicked (with maybe the exception of us being able to set specific language/s). For non turbo users ads could run either every X channels, or every X minutes of channel flicking unless the viewer stays on a channel for more than 5 minutes, then the standard ad system will take over. Also keybinding it, (like the pause and mute functions) would be epic

This used to be a fun feature back in the days, used to discover alot of different small channels.

A feature where if you click a button on the home page it will take you to a random streamer's streamer. This would boost small streamers or give an extra view to a bigger streamer. No matter what it is completely random and will take you to a random stream.
This feature could massively help people out, not only streamers but it gives viewers something to watch.

I'd like to second this idea. A good amount of times I come to the front page and its a dj playing loud techno/house/edm music. It's okay if it plays, but let users enable auto-mute like how when we refresh a live stream and it's auto-muted and we have to click on the video to unmute.

This night i thinked about this kind of functionality, and, finally another one already ask for it.
Like another commentary say, with some filter it can be really cool! -

Yes! I was just coming here to suggest this, I would add this though:
For the random selection, add filters so users could select categories, limitations (such as min-max viewers/followers/subs), limit by unaffiliated/affiliated/partner, etc. Just a random feature with filters to narrow down but also allow easier discovery of new pages. -

The ability to queue up with a hundred other people in a chatroom and then be dropped on a random streamer.
Sometimes you don't know who you want to watch or the streamer you are following isn't streaming at that time, but you would still like to watch something on twitch. This option would not be available to streamers with a certain amount of followers or current viewers to maximize the impact it would have on a relatively smaller streamer.
I believe this would be a good incentive for newer and smaller streamers to keep streaming in the event of a fairly large amount of viewers being dropped on them and a fun and interesting way for viewers to discover new and interesting streamers that they may otherwise never have visited.
You could have special events where you could have chat rooms with up to five hundred or even a thousand people. Ads could be run while people wait for the room to fill up as well. And you would have the option to turn off twitch roulette if you would prefer not to be included in the available streamers of which people could be selected for the drop. This option would be off by default.

100 people queue up for a drop on a random streamer. You could have events where 500, or even 1,000 people could queue up for a drop. This feature could be turned off by streamers who do not want a random drop of viewers and for streamers with a certain amount of current viewers would not be applicable. I believe this would help keep newer streamers motivated to stay streaming for a chance that they might get a 100 viewers randomly. And ads could be rolled while people are queueing up.

99.9999% of streamers are loud and obnoxious, please add an option to not have some random stream open when i first visit this site's front page. I hate managing which sites i mute through the browser.

A shuffle button or randomizer that will send you to a different stream or category each time you press it. A shuffle option could really help unique streamers/categories grow.

Have a button labelled "float". This button puts you into a random partnered channel. Every 10 minutes you automatically get sent to a new random channel. I'd love this feature for when you're bored or your fav streamer isn't online.

Please provide a feature where users can press a "Random" button on their home page which will start playing a random channel within a random category - I believe this will allow users to explore more of what Twitch has to offer and gives Streamers (especially those with no or a low amount of viewers) an opportunity to get more exposure and build up their communities.

Make a feature under each category that says “random stream” or something like that, that literally sends you to a random stream in that category, or alternatively on the whole platform. Not only would it benefit smaller streamers with a new way of getting recognition, but it would make it easy for viewers to discover their new favorite streamer aswell. Imagine all the “donating to a random streamer” or similar content aswell!

I actually just posted this myself! Such a great idea I do hope they implement it!

I think twitch needs a feature where you click a button and it takes you to a random stream kinda like Google's "get lucky" feature. This not only will help small streamers but it will allow us to see games we may like but never think to watch and meet new people/ help communities grow.
**Sorry for typos on phone**

add a "random" button so that we can randomly watch someone's broadcast, + it helps small streamers!

I'd suggest there one for global, and one in each category. I think it's a great idea, and shouldn't impact anything negatively.
