Designated category for Creative Writing and related content

Ranging from writing and discussing novels, to poetry, scripts, comics, article editing, tabletop campaign planning, world creation, etc. There are a wide array of people doing various forms of creative writing on twitch, (Counted 53 channels so far, still working on finding more) and often it's hard to decide between "Creative" "Art" or "Just Chatting". Currently all we have to search for similar content is the "Writing" tag, which some of the broader definitions are hesitant to use, and is also used by people writing computer code, which is honestly a very different type of content despite it's visual similarities.

A category for this would seriously help us to find content and be found by the wider community of storytelling or wordsmithing fans that use twitch, as well as make it easier for twitches algorithm to identify what we watch. (I am often recommended visual art streams because I watch a lot of writers that use the art category, but never recommended any writing channels, and others I have spoken to experience the same)

I did my first Writing stream today and was pretty surprised to not see it already as a category, especially considering all the options for many other creative, non-video game pursuits!

I vote yes, too. I think my vote is going to be the one to put this over the top.

Yes, please, it is tough bouncing between three different channels hoping to find the right audience at the right time. A dedicated channel would be amazing!

Definitely!!! This is a growing... and extremely dedicated community that needs a chance to spread!!

Oh goodness, this is an issue?

    I'm 100% with @SableAradia on this one.

You don't realize how BIG the writing community is. Even myself as an illustrator, only stream art on Twitch to enhance my writing!

If you want to see Twitch grow in amazing ways and reach a far greater audience, make sure to add a "Creative Writing" category for those of us who are 'twitching' with excitement to tell people our stories.

    ....'twitching',....heh....see what I did there?

    *ahem*

You know it's a good idea--so just do it. =)

I'm not sure you recognize the size of the Writer Community on Twitch. I put "writing" as a tag on my first writing stream, and the support poured in. I was an Affiliate within 2 weeks. There is a huge audience who is screaming for writing content, and without a category that fits, they are struggling to find us. National Novel Writing Month is just around the corner, too, with huge potential for even more new viewers. This would not just be good for the community - it would be good for your pocketbook. Please give this to us! Thank you.

This would be wonderful! Pretty please!!!!!

Please! This needs to happen, especially with Creative being gone.

The Creative tag now appears to have gone, which is the closest I could find, so I'm now back to using the "Just Chatting" category which is unfortunately rife with trolls. A dedicated writing category would be amazing!

Writers are a lot larger group than most people believe. We need this so that those who wish to find us have an easier time of.

Yes, we definitely need a writing category! There would be no other content without writers.
