Writers of Twitch! Let's use this idea thread to build a community.

What's the name of your channel? What do you write? When do you stream?

Even if they don't make an official category we can still support each other.

i honestly hope this becomes a thing. I think getting steamrolled by Just Chatting groups it's hard for us to get noticed when it comes people are looking for "Writing" or "Creative Writing" even tags don't always help. Plus I would like to connect with more writers on this platform too, and it is so hard to find them.

OMG, I just found this. I'm new to streaming and there are so many writers streaming on Twitch and we definitely need a Creative Writing and related content category. Even when I try to search for my fellow writers, I have to either ask other people for recommendations or browse through the just chatting category. We definitely need a category where we can feel at home and just stream and people who wants to join a creative writing stream can just follow the category and jump into the streams of their favorite writers.

Adding once again to the comments about this. We do need a way to recognize writers on Twitch. It would be so much easier for the writing community to have a dedicated category so we can connect, network and support each others streams.

This is definitely a category that I think should be added. It would be much easier for writers on twitch to find each other and share writing resources.

In italiano si chiamerebbe "Scrittura creativa" oltre che appunto inserire anche una categoria "Poesia" ( la dicitura inglese aiuta certo però rischia di indirizzare ai miei video persone che non riuscirebbero a seguire il senso di ciò che andrei a scrivere visto che il contenuto della diretta sarebbe interamente in italiano)

This would be amazing! I definitely think this should be its own category on Twitch! While Twitch is heavily advertised for the Gaming Community, it's apparent that there are other categories on the platform that have provided much entertainment for many viewers, myself included. So many communities now make up the entity that is Twitch and they all need to be represented equally.

As a variety streamer who games, draws, AND writes, I want there to be a space for each of these categories equally. Having a space to hear best writing tactics, programs, styles, and tips with likeminded people who want to improve as writers is just as important for us as it is for musicians, artists, bakers, crafters, and individual gaming communities. It would also be much easier to find one another instead of random searches and stumbling into the right streams. It may even encourage people to start streaming that didn't think there was a place for them to thrive.

We would love to see a "Writers" or "Writing" Main Category on Twitch. Did you know there are many creative writers streaming on Twitch? It's pretty sad that we don't have a dedicated Main Category. This makes us hard to find, as we got lost in the sea of inaccurate categories. IRL Chat isn't specific enough and having "Writers" as a game is inaccurate and confusing. I sincerely believe that allowing us to have our own Main Category would be a vast improvement to user experience - both creators and audiences.
