This would be so great. Someone just commented that this isn’t enough people to justify a category and that nobody is watching writers… but maybe people *would* be watching if we were more discoverable. Being able to use a category other than “Just Chatting” would be a huge benefit to us. I would even take a less specific creator category that was not specific to art or music. Just something other than “Chatting.”

1300 votes will never amount to it being a category by itself. Every time I want to watch a writer, there are, at most, 20 people watching.
Not worth the headache for a dev.

Can we please make this a thing????? I know that I'm not the only one who streams Creative Writing. As mentioned previously... the Just Chatting category buries writers and makes them hard to find.

@The_SouthPaw I want to join the Twitch Writers Network, but the invitation link is no longer valid. Can you resend the link? I'm looking to connect.

Me parece una idea genial

@Glarvole: Here is the invite link to Twitch Writers Network: https://discord.gg/AVEQ6TGhHP

Where’s the discord at Mezz09? I’m not finding it anywhere.

for people asking about where to find other writers on twitch and suggesting building a community, please ask around about the TWN, a discord server started shortly after I created this petition. We have about 700 twitch writers on there now many of whom would love to meet you

How many votes will it take to get this? We definitely need this!

Writers of Twitch! Let's use this idea thread to build a community.

What's the name of your channel? What do you write? When do you stream?

Even if they don't make an official category we can still support each other.

i honestly hope this becomes a thing. I think getting steamrolled by Just Chatting groups it's hard for us to get noticed when it comes people are looking for "Writing" or "Creative Writing" even tags don't always help. Plus I would like to connect with more writers on this platform too, and it is so hard to find them.

OMG, I just found this. I'm new to streaming and there are so many writers streaming on Twitch and we definitely need a Creative Writing and related content category. Even when I try to search for my fellow writers, I have to either ask other people for recommendations or browse through the just chatting category. We definitely need a category where we can feel at home and just stream and people who wants to join a creative writing stream can just follow the category and jump into the streams of their favorite writers.

Creating a dedicated category for Creative Writing and related content is a fantastic idea. As a student, I've faced the challenges of intricate writing assignments, especially when they involve creative elements. Sometimes, it becomes necessary to seek assistance, and services for write my dissertation for me from trusted sources like https://academized.com/writing-services/write-my-dissertation This way, we can explore our creative writing potential without the added pressure.

My Idea for writing is to have the image of a quill and paper morphing into a keyboard computer screen since many people are using Twitch to stream their writing.

Adding once again to the comments about this. We do need a way to recognize writers on Twitch. It would be so much easier for the writing community to have a dedicated category so we can connect, network and support each others streams.

This is definitely a category that I think should be added. It would be much easier for writers on twitch to find each other and share writing resources.

YES! +10000

Yes! It would be wonderful for writers to have their own category!! :D
