Random channel spotlight at the top of browse
When browsing channels by game, make the top 3 or 5 channels listed random channels to help promote people who get less viewers.
As it is now, people searching by game will notice more popular streamers right away and may never look beyond them. By adding a random spotlight at the top, it may drive more people to smaller channels instead of big channels pulling in even more viewers.
Maybe change the spotlighted channels every 30 or 60 minutes, and add a special background behind them to stand out.

The established Streamers dominate all sections and the people just starting out have a major uphill battle. I would like to see a feature that will put a random streamer in that particular section at the top of the page for a specific amount of time. ( hour or two )? just to give them some exposure.
It would also encourage new streamers to try out twitch.

While I strongly dislike all the promotions that twitch is trying to force upon us (frontpage autoplay, auto-host, recommended channels on the left bar), the top bar does seem empty. So long as the recommendations only pops up while you're browsing games or channels I think this would be a good idea. On the contrary I wouldn't want to see a random recommendation while watching my favourite streamer with no intention of switching.

I found a couple of my favorites so far scrolling down a bit. Some of the smaller channels are run by some pretty awesome people, and I wish it was easier for them to be seen. I absolutely love this idea.

This will probably make less people wanting to view bot their channel. Voted.
