Trans tag request

It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.

Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).

We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.

Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.

Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

They wont give us a tag because they know their user base is toxic and transphobic so their answer instead was to lie to us and give us nothing!

It's time to talk about the trans tag! The trans tag has surpassed 4k votes and no details have been given other than, "we're working on something." We need to hear that the trans tag is being implemented and why it's taken so long for Twitch to act on something this community has been vocal about needing!

Add a Trans Flag, please. The LGBQTIA+ tag seems inclusive; but, a significant portion of the ***** Community is -not- trans. In fact there is a significant portion of the ***** Community at large that in addition to being transphobic, also participates in bi/pan erasure.

Representation matters. Those who are anywhere on the trans spectrum deserve to be accurately represented and have a way to reach out to others.

Isn't it time already twitch? 👁️👄👁️

Please add a trans streamer tag similar to your LGBQT+ one! As a trans streamer myself, it would be amazing to connect to other trans folks and allies alike!

The Trans Tag has over 4000 votes and so many comments. The LGBTQIA+ tag does not do enough for the trans community members. Please add the trans tag

You told us you were working on something better than a trans tag. I'd love to hear all about it.

Let's be honest, we are long overdue for a #Trans tag on Twitch. The community needs it, Twitch needs it. Let's get this done!

    Please accept this tag.

    Please.

    Its not hurting anyone.

So many trans streamers have asked for this for so long, so instead of speaking for them and what you think is right as a company, please listen instead and create this simple tag that can make a world of difference

This is important to establish a community and much needed visibility

Lots of general LGBTIA+ spaces aren't actually trans friendly. I am very glad to have found some streamers who are. But I would be able to find a lot more, and maybe some trans men streamers I'd enjoy, if we had this tag.

Here to echo the other comments that we urgently need a Trans Tag on twitch. Please discuss this at the town hall.

Please just do it. My community *needs* to be able to network with eachother in order to survive and thrive. Its such a simple thing that would help out so much. Please do it.

The Trans Tag has over 4000 votes. Talk about it at the Town Hall, You've given us no details as to why this hasn't been addressed.

We've been asking for this for so long.
