Trans tag request
It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.
Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.
Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.
Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

As a trans streamer I would love a trans tag to show representation for myself and to reach out to other trans creators

OUTRAGOUS! Claim inclusiveness, yet won't create a simple tag to "avoid trolling". How about combat trolls as a whole, rather than at the expensive of a large, socially excluded twitch demographic...?
do better, twitch.

This is just absurd at this point. You can't continue to make money off us and prevent us from accessing community at the same time. It is prejudiced, greedy, unconscionable behaviour especially since so many of us struggle to hold down regular jobs due to societal transphobia
Fix your ****, Twitch. Fix your ****, Bezos.

Options are awesome; people can choose to NOT use an established tag, but currently NO ONE can choose it at all.
Options are awesome. -

I'm what you'd consider a "regular guy", but people want this and I get it. So take my vote you beautiful people!

While I am not a member of the Transgender community, specifically, I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I stand with my Trans brothers and sisters in this requests for representation, visibility and Respect...

This is starting to boarder on Prejudice. Your entire Trans community is requesting this tag. Denying it is treating us like we are second hand members. Like Twitch isn't meant to be for our kind. There are tags for almost literally anything else on Twitch, but we can't have one. This might be the most requested thing on the entire platform right now, how have you still not gotten around to it?

Please listen to the community. A trans tag will allow people to easily find streamers who represent their own experiences better. Representation and community are important and Twitch can do this one small thing to make it that much more accessible to people who may not have a local community to be a part of.

A trans tag needs to happen. It will improve viewer experience, there is obvious community support in favor, and it will do nothing but improve Twitch's public appearance. Create a trans tag.

That was the most ******** response ever, it shouldn't be a better way, do what we ask off" about representation. If it was a game yall would have the tag faster than ever, because all u care about is money. That thing you pulled for the Stream Queens in 2019 was the bare ******* minimum. Whoever the **** works at twitch needs to get their head out of their *** and add the ******* tag. Stop worrying about how the homophobics are gonna respond and do the ******* minimum, their shouldn't have to be a petition to sign. If yall really cared about the lgbt2qia+ (I hope I got that right) then ******* show it. Instead of adding emotes and front pagging creators apart of the community for pride month, do it everyday. Yall just make us look like some art that's limited to one month. Like shut the **** up, sit the **** down, and do the bearfuckingminimum.

It is ridiculous that this is a request that Twitch refuses to grant. There is no valid reason to not include a trans tag. Trans content creators have always and will always deal with transphobia and harassment. Even in the unlikely event that the tag increases that harassment for those who use it, trans people are not fragile. We know the risks. We know how to use the tools at our disposal to moderate and curate our spaces.
Give us the tag. Treat us like human beings deserving of community and representation. Listen to what trans creators and users are saying we want. Trust us to know how to navigate its use and curate our spaces.

Adding the tag your Trans users are asking for and supporting Trans people on the platform is essentially the bare minimum you could do here. It won't lead to more harassment. People get harassed without it regularly and if you were better about banning the people doing the harassing there would be less to worry about to begin with.

I have found my community on Twitch. All we're asking is for Twitch to make that easier for our trans family as well. Being around those who share your identity, your values, and can offer a safe space to express yourself can make a profound difference in someone's life. Trans people deserve the ability to better access those spaces. A simple tag can help make that happen.

Trans streamers need representation. One of the best things I have found within twitch are trans friendly communities that are open and accepting of everyone. Trans is not a curse word, it is an identity and there needs to be a tag to indicate trans safe spaces
