[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
We are happy to announce that the First-Time Chatter Highlight is now available to all creators and mods! You can learn more about this feature at the below link. Thank you all for your feedback!

Saw the earlier version of this in the wild and I requested it for years but never got it. So happy to have this version. Basically does the same thing, lets my mods and I know when we have a first timer in chat but this version doesn't let everyone else know. LOVE IT! Thank you.

Me ha gustado mucho identificar a la gente que participaba por primera vez en mi chat y poder así darles una cálida bienvenida. Magnífica idea y agradecido por formar parte de la beta.

I think it's a nice feature. It's cool to be able to see when new people come into chat. Though I think it has the potential to be overwhelming in raids and larger streamer's chats, so the fact that it is toggleable is necessary. Maybe the mark for it could be less intrusive to combat that? I can imagine most people turning this off.

I love this concept and can't wait to see it in action. A lot of chatters will feel more encouraged to return and interact with a streamer who recognizes them early on as a new member of the community and engages them as such.
However, it's definitely important to note that some people do not want this at all and could potentially be pushed away by these types of interactions. Perhaps an option for the chatter to prevent the highlight universally? If this is possible I think it would help to serve both groups.
