straightpride I see a lot of Pride Emotes, is it wrong to be "StraightPride" ? I respect others shouldn't they respect us too?
Please add an emote to allow Straight sex oriented people to feel proud on twitch too.6 votes -

Treat 2FA authenticator logins the same as mobile verifications With the new addition of verified users only in chat, you can have an account which is 2FA enabled but still requires a cell phone SMS verification.
This seems non-sensical as 2FA via an authenticator is app technically more secure than SMS verification, however it is not treated as equivalent.2FA via an authenticator app should count as an account as verified the same as SMS.

bedankt!

Optional chat position under the stream for non-fullscreen browsers Hello everyone!
I have an idea that would help me and maybe others to improve the twitch usage a lot by offering a second / optional position of the chat.
IDEA: A optional chat position under the stream with the same width as the stream itself. So the stream can use the full width of the browser and the chat too! Normal and optional chat position via toggle would be great.
The reason why i had this idea:
Normally the chat is on the right side of the stream, which is perfectly fine when using twitch in a browser only.…

Rank symbol next to name When you connect your twitch account with a game, if ranked, it would show next to your name in chat. Only when you are watching a stream listed under that game it would show.

"more messages below" gets in the way In slow-moving chat the “More messages below.” text obscures the last message. Maybe it would be better if it was a bit lower down so we could read the last msg?

The option to hide Watch Streaks It has gotten really silly. I hate all of the pop-ups regarding watch streaks. "WATCH BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WATCH STREAK" and "OH NO, YOU MISSED A STREAM! CLICK HERE TO RETAIN YOUR WATCH STREAK." I am so annoyed by this now that I just want to hide it all. I used to think watch streaks were cute, but you've ruined it by making them obnoxious. I'm done, I wish to opt out completely.

Please do not arbitrarily demand phone numbers from people with verified email addresses I posted this elsewhere on the forum because I got here by following a link from someone sharing their own experience with the same problem, but I figure that this is a great place to post about this problem too.
Why, after ten years of chatting on Twitch with a verified email address, is Twitch blocking me from every single Twitch chat unless I give my phone number? I've been on great behavior for my entire time on Twitch, so why did Twitch impose this on my account a few months ago? Twitch has not given any reason, and I…

Request for Additional Account Verification Methods As a dedicated Twitch user with a disability, I face challenges with the current account verification system. I rely on a Skype number for communication, but it is not compatible with Twitch's verification process, and I do not have access to a traditional mobile number. To enhance accessibility for users like myself, I propose the following alternatives for account verification: allow the use of VoIP numbers, such as Skype; introduce email as an alternative verification method; implement support for two-factor authentication through authenticator apps; and provide an option for users to verify their accounts using official government identification. Expanding the…

Change how pinned messages are shown Instead of showing "Pinned by", show "Posted by", to show who the user was that sent the message.
Too often do people in chat mistake the "Pin by" as the person that sent the message and causing confusion in chat.

Ban Streamers who don't ban users for being creepy with children There are a lot of streamers out there who say creepy unhinged things about children, and make jokes about harming them or SA'ing them and the streamers do nothing about it. I think if a user says something out of line like that, and the Streamer does not ban them, then the Streamer should be banned from streaming.

chat highlight for "first comment in current broadcast" That's it. Ability to highlight a chatters first post that broadcast.
To be clear so that this isn't closed down again, I do not mean first time chatters ever, I realise that that is available. I mean first time in that live event.

Add option to dismiss notifications like polls, hype train etc. If a hype train is going or the streamer runs a poll, there is a notification window on top of the chat, which blocks some of the chat.
I'd appreciate an option to dismiss this notification pop up (x).

First Chat Highlight Mod View Adjustment Both the default and minimized version of the first chat highlight feature is quite distracting from a moderator's point of view. In a fast paced chat (5k average viewers), the pink frame around the message distracts us from seeing the immediate couple of message above and below the highlighted message, making us sometimes miss things not allowed by chat rules.
I understand that from a streamer's point of view, this is a neat feature for new viewer engagement, however, as a moderator, it would be great if we could get the option to use the "old" compact first chat message…

Moderator Chat HighLights and Suspicious Users When a suspicious user marked as restrict types in chat, others can´t view the message, except the streamer and moderators.
The problem is that streamer can read it during a live stream, specially in a crowded chat even with moderator chat highlights.
Right now there is no great difference for chat highlights between a restricted user and a monitored user. I know that text color is different, but highlight caption is always Suspicious User.
I suggest a different color for moderator highlight as well as a new caption for this situation.
And if possible, an option to disable this type…5 votes
