Bring back follow date info on other users
For as long as I can remember, Twitch had a way to click on a user in a chat you don't moderate for to see their follow date on the channel you're watching.
This got removed less than a week ago with many others reporting its disappearance on reddit, and I feel this was an important feature to bring back.
It currently only exists if you're a moderator of that channel.
As one comment states perfectly:
"If someone starts acting strangely, checking their follow age used to let you instantly know if they were a long time regular joking around or a troll who just barged in. Knowing this helped you decide whether to play along with the joke, ignore them, or even report them."
Especially for using this information in order to moderate another/your own channel, this was easily the most helpful deciding factor for taking preventative measures and issuing out preemptive bans.

Such a weird change and very annoying to say the least...

This feature was so important. I am a frequent watcher for a specific channel and the follow age helped me so much to get context. Sometimes a simple question can be annoying or part of a joke depending if the person has been part of the community for a while. Please bring this feature back!

I guess only Twitch can scrape our data and use it but not anyone else

Twitch just keeps making their site worse and worse. I hope they realize there are other places people multi-stream to.

I agree. I also liked that feature to see my own follow date for a channel.

Big agree on this. adding to all the other points already made. The removal of follow date from user card info makes it difficult to understand context for conversation. Sometimes I see things that are a reference I don't understand. By looking at someones user card and I can see they have a longer followage than I do it adds context that they are referencing something from before my time. I don't see any benefit to removing the follow date information.

I agree. And now this week I've noticed I can't even look at my OWN follow date on channels I'm not moderated in. Ridiculous feature to get rid of.

Being a long time follower used to have some prestige to it, it is really sad to throw all of this experience away. Please at least let us see our OWN follow date in each channel!

This is extremely detrimental to smaller and mid sized streamers. It helps to be able to moderate and remove potential creeps, trolls etc. This is a terrible move.

Removing this was a massive mistake. i used to be able to spot trolls with this feature. now its hard to tell if someone is joking with a friend vs. being a weird troll.

In small communities some epic people have been following a very long time !
In a way this tells the story of a streamers journey over many years.
All that history washed away like a sand castle on the beach.
Not cool !! -

As a regular in small channels with little mod presence this feature has been ESSENTIAL in many situations to prevent things getting out of hand, with myself and other users commenting on a new chatters weird behavior before the situation became uncomfortable for all involved, it needs to come back

i'll just copy this again:
"If someone starts acting strangely, checking their follow age used to let you instantly know if they were a long time regular joking around or a troll who just barged in. Knowing this helped you decide whether to play along with the joke, ignore them, or even report them."
i helped a lot to detect bots too 'cause they often don't follow accounts
