Keep nickname used to send a message in their chat logs
Keep in their chat logs the nickname they had when they wrote the message
When you're a moderator, you already have a lot of people to remember and it's sometimes useful to know who you're dealing with, but sometimes they change their username and their chat history doesn't remind us at all who they are.
The fact that the new username replaces the one they used to send their old messages in their chat logs greatly complicates things.
