Display the moderator's reasoning on a ban on mobile
Recently Twitch updated its mobile apps to display the reason provided by the channel moderators when someone gets timed out or warned. However, the status quo remains for a ban. When a channel moderator bans someone and that person is on mobile, it only displays that the person got banned from the chat / stream. However, if the moderator provided a reason for the ban, it is not displayed to the user compared to if they were on a browser, in which it would display the reason. For instance, on a browser, there is a "view detail" button that a user can click on to see "channel mods gave a reason for your ban" and when they could request an unban (assuming the channel set an unban request cooldown). When the time comes that a user becomes eligible to submit an unban request, on a browser, it would display a history of the user's chat messages on the channel (assuming they have chatted before), and then once again display the reason provided by channel moderators (if they did provide a reason). Finally, there's the box and a note saying you can only request an unban once, make it count. On mobile, it's a different story. Regardless of whether a user is on an unban request cooldown or not, they would only see the option to request an unban, in which it doesn't even list the reason or show the history of chat messages on the channel. They only see a box and the note and if the user submits the unban request but is on cooldown, it just displays a message telling the user to come back later. Could we please match the system on mobile to the system on a browser where the reason is shown, the user can see a history of the messages, and the user is shown the cooldown if there's one rather than being shown a box and submit it only to realize there's a cooldown. This would bring in line the updates to the timeouts and warnings and not only would this save time to the people submitting an unban request on mobile, but it would also greatly benefit them in improving their behaviour since they are informed of the reason for their ban and can adjust and reintegrate into the community. Thank you!

Matching the mobile ban system with the browser experience on Twitch would greatly improve transparency and usability for banned users, as currently mobile users cannot see the moderator’s reasoning, chat history, or active cooldowns before attempting to submit an unban request, which often leads to confusion and wasted effort; by displaying the ban reason, showing previous relevant chat messages, and clearly indicating any cooldown period on mobile—just like the “view detail” option on desktop—users would better understand what went wrong, adjust their behavior, and reintegrate more positively into the community, similar to how clear step-by-step guidance improves outcomes in informational resources such as https://paintlogs.com/can-you-put-polyurethane-over-alkyd-paint/, where users benefit from seeing detailed explanations before taking action, ultimately saving time for both moderators and users while promoting healthier chat environments.
