Making chat more legible (especially when it's moving)
The main idea is to make it easier to visually separate one chat message from the ones next to it.
A few options:
Different background colors for messages (alternating between white and light gray for Light Mode; alternating between black and dark gray for Dark Mode)
Smoother movement when a new message comes in (instead of instantly jumping by however many lines the new message takes up)
Thin lines between (or around) chat messages. Bubbles around messages would make messages very easy to differentiate, but they also take up more space.
