Pins
So, I, as a mod have the option to pin every message in the chat.
The pin button is right next to the reply button, and I've found myself accidentally misclicking the pin button instead of the reply button.
In my opinion, it should be harder to pin messages and you shouldn't be able to accidentally pin a message, if you wanted to reply to it.

That sounds like a UI/UX issue where critical actions like pinning should have confirmation or better spacing to avoid misclicks. Even a system like a bulk website audit tool https://lemaudit.com/features/bulk-domain-scanner would typically add safeguards before applying changes, so accidental actions don’t slip through.

YES!! pinning random messages accidentally detracts from purposefully pinned messages AND there is no way to unpin the msg without deleting it

I'm gonna add my opinion to the list and say that button just needs to go entirely. Likewise, as a moderator, I feel if I wanted to pin something I would just use the pin command. That button does nothing but get in the way, and is more hinderance than help. I genuinely despise that button.

I am just careful when clicking the pin button, I don't hover over the pin button when I am trying to reply to a message.

please just remove the pin icon from the chat! us mods if we want can copy a chat and then pin it with the command.

ugh, this is still an ongoing issue. is there any workarounds, like completely remove the pin icon option perhaps? hoping bttv or ffz comes up with a removal option... that's more likely to happen before twitch does something about it :(

It is too easy to click this in error and pin a random message - mods/streamer should have the ability to turn this setting off, especially when /pin works just fine. Trying to see details on a message, click a username that is long, etc., you can easily click the pin in error. I want the ability to remove the pin icon.

It's extremely annoying to accidentally misclick and pin a message and then receive ultimate shame from chatters for accidentally pinning a message. you should be able to disable it or make it a bit harder, like adding a confirmation like "are you sure you want to pin this message" type thing!

We should at least have the option to turn off the pin message feature, it is really annoying to pin random messages by accident.

+1 on this! Or some sort of confirmation when clicking it, so far, I have more missclicked it that actually pinned something. My desktop layout makes it such that sometimes, only the right side of the chat shows up, making it almost a guarantee that I will click the Pin button when trying to focus on the window (or click reply, which I can just dismiss at least!
