Username/emote completion weird behavior

I just came accross this bug multiple people reported in chat and only started to do it today:

While starting the sentence with @username and tabbing to auto complete the menu keeps poping up while writing https://i.imgur.com/DgJfTDJ.gif
While writing a message and then @username the auto complete menu does not popup https://i.imgur.com/xdUqFeL.gif

Edit: Actually the same behavior for emotes as well
