[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
We are happy to announce that the First-Time Chatter Highlight is now available to all creators and mods! You can learn more about this feature at the below link. Thank you all for your feedback!

It's a nice idea but its not is really needed. What is needed is that twitch/amazon stop taking %50 of the sub cost that people give to there loved streamers. I can understand 25% to 30% but taking 50% and then take tax off that. really a greedy thing on Twitch/Amazon part. You do nothing to help the little streamers or the new streamers what so ever. You fever the big streamers who pull in big numbers. Its not right you are standing on the backs of people who out hrs & hrs & hrs of work into there stream just so you can steal 50%. Not right.

This is so nice because I can see a new viewer immediately and I dont have to guess if someone is new or if I have seen them before

I don't use follow alerts, and I enjoy engaging with someone for the FIRST time. If you stream long enough, you see a LOT of names, and there's po-tential, in my silly brain at least, for an increased connection to that person if I seared a timeline re: their first words.

C'est tellement pratique ! On peut leur souhaiter la bienvenue sur la chaîne, leur accorder un peu plus d'attention, je valide !

It makes it a lot easier to read and welcome newcomers when there's a raid. I like this update already!

Love it! You can give a little more special attention to the new comers to make sure they feel especially welcome, this should hopefully lead to better viewer retention.

I'd really like to see this roll out to everyone. It would also help with moderators so if their first message was hostile you could easily kick em.
