[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
We are happy to announce that the First-Time Chatter Highlight is now available to all creators and mods! You can learn more about this feature at the below link. Thank you all for your feedback!

This an amazing feature and have really enjoyed having it so far.
A potential feature to add on to this could be for the streamer to be able to set a response (only viewable to the new user and mods) Streamers could use this in a few different ways - letting a new user know the 'vibe' of the stream that they have entered. Give the user some information about the content of the current stream ie, a challenge that the streamer is trying to complete, or some topics/questions that the streamer likes talking about. Keep a small character limit on it, to keep the message concise and not overwhelming.

Ok I got to test this feature out for the first time on last night's stream and HOLY MOLY!!!! I absolutely LOVED it! I had roughly 20 new people drop in last night. I'm welcoming and warm to everyone who hangs out on my channel, but obviously when someone is there for the first time, you especially want to make sure they feel noticed and appreciated. This feature helped so much. THANK YOU!

I got a message that "Beta access granted" for this feature but I can't seem to find it anywhere in any chat-related settings...

I dig this new feature! Was nice to have it brought to my attention (especially if mods are missing/busy and you’re trying to catch all the stuff in chat).

This is really good! it helps me notice these specific messages more and way more likely to reply within seconds. It also helps me realize if someone saying "hi" has been there before or not. I like the fact that it can be toggled, and is ONLY visible to mods and creators.

This has been super helpful for me ! It makes it easier to quickly react to messages from newcomers :) I like that it only highlights for me and the mods too.
