[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."

It would be really helpful if the first time chatter box that shows up for the streamer would have the chatters pronouns. I’m always worried I’ll misgender a new chatter and that would help so much. Thanks!

Fantastic feature!! Fell in love with this right away. Chat was flying however I was still able to pick out our first time viewers and welcome them. Great feedback from my mods, keep it up twitch!

Sem sombra de duvidas achei muito útil, porque a gente principalmente quem está iniciando nas lives está acostumado com um pequeno publico que normalmente comparece nas lives diárias com esse recurso como propriamente dito podemos dar uma atenção especial e causar uma boa impressão para quem está chegando e assim fidelizando novos viewers. Afinal a primeira impressão é a que fica! -

Thanks for the opportunity to test the beta here. This is honestly a great idea beings though within my community, we like to make the new supporters feel right at home with convo. So highlighting them will make it that much easier. Please incorporate this as an option.

Love the feature. Could do with a minor tweak. Allow viewers to opt out of ”my first chat” even if the streamer has the feature enabled. Otherwise a solid idea and should be rolled out.
To further expand on this idea, filter out bot messages from the ”first” and maybe include viewers who has not said something for years to be highlighted for a welcome back?
