[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
We are happy to announce that the First-Time Chatter Highlight is now available to all creators and mods! You can learn more about this feature at the below link. Thank you all for your feedback!

this feature is amazing! I love knowing when someone is new to the streams especially because I find myself forgetting if they've been in my streams before!

This is such a great feature. Thanks for including us in the roll out. I think it's important to make new viewers feel welcome and get the acclimated to the vibe of the stream.

Very useful! It's great because sometimes I won't recognize everyone or most people have very similar names, so it's nice to know when someone is new or not.

This has been a god send because I have a lot of people discovering my channel on the daily. Since a large portion of them are young, and coming from Tik Tok, unfortunately many end up being unintentional trolls because they aren't used to chatting in a livestream... so this has been great to help me keep an eye on newcomers, make them feel welcome (or help me be weary of them), and better onboard them to my community.
My only complaint / request would be to have it be a little less obtrusive. Especially since I have a LOT of day to day first time chatters, sometimes it can fill up a lot of my chatroom space and feel a bit more disruptive than would be preferred.
That being said, I'd still prefer it as-is than not at all. It's very helpful and a welcome change!

¡Me encanta!
I love it! At the begining, I mistook it for a notification of a suscription, but, when you are used to it, it's easy to see the difference between them. You can see clearly when a user writes at your stream for the first time ever. Maybe it's not a necesary feature, but helps a lot to give a warm welcome to the new viewers.
