[Test] Crowd Chant
Some communities will notice a new way to "chant" during hype moments on stream. This is a limited time experiment where only some creators will have access to this feature. Creators and Mods will be able to use /chant (using text and/or emotes) in chat to kick one off. Viewers will see a private callout with the chant and can dismiss or choose to participate!
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!
On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.
While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.
Experiments help us test new ideas in real time, and decide what to build next. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

I like /chant where you can use it, but it would be nice to see it with more if it could be allowed to afflitate so we can join and use it

@moaa1: "Right now, about a quarter of larger channels are part of the experiment group. Not everybody has access to the experiment." - Cristy Gonzalez, Product Manager Expressions.
For the channels where the chant feature is active, the streamer or mods can activate it by typing /chant in chat. If that doesn't work, then it means the channel isn't included in the experiment.
_For the most part, I'd say it's mainly been positive from what I've seen. Allowing streamers to de-active it is the main adjustment that I think is necessary before it is rolled out to more channels. Being able to change the duration of the chant would be nice as well.

It really is a great feature, but to prevent abuse (intentional spamming to annoy the streamer or so) it would be nice to have the option to disable the /chant feature. But all-in-all I love the feature

La commande /chant est genial!! Ça permet de créer un lien avec le chat!!!
Faut garder cette commande ! Elle est vraiment indispensable ! Merci -

Loved it when a chat did it and it was all in good jest. But can see it being used nefariously with some communities. If it was a permanent option, I'd enable it.

I don't want to see chants in other's people's chats (extremely obtrusive and distracting). Please make an viewer option to hide the popup and responses from chatters who participated in the chant.

Please add something similar like /announce for mods to announce important messages to chat when it's moving too fast and you don't want to put it into emote-only.

I think this is generally a pretty good feature, but I find the private prompt very intrusive. My first impulse when I see it is to try and find a way to permanently disable it for myself. I'd LOVE for this to be possible, and maybe also for it to be made a good deal smaller.

Loved seeing this feature used in other channels, are there any plans to roll it out to everyone or to let channels join in the test?

i really like this ability but the limit to characters means minimal amounts of emotes can be used. As the main focus for the chant function should be the ability to hype up the viewers and the broadcaster id like to see the character limit increases so more emotes can be spammed
maybe give channel owners the ability to nominate 1 or 2 of there emotes to be "chantable" for followers that are not subs -

I really would love this option! Who would I need to talk to, to incorporate this into my streams?

This is a cool idea. Saw it in one streamer's chat and it was fun. I hope it sticks around!
