Letting us opt out of only training isn't enough- LET US OPT OUT OF ALL AI USE FROM TWITCH. I do not want your ai listening to me to make captions- i have captions already
I do not want your ai monitoring my stream to "help moderate" djring a sponsored stream- I have non ai powered bots, human mods, and a brain.

I am absolutely AGAINST my data- *all* of my data- being fed to AI in any capacity. I *will* find a way to make or use a Nightshade-like program to absolutely taint all data of mine you feed into ANY AI, with the goal of entirely destroying your data set and breaking it. I am disgusted with the thought of my data being stolen AGAINST MY WILL and used in ANY AI training, ESPECIALLY FOR FREE. You want to implement a way for streams to be used to train AI? Fine. But I hope you're ready for the data to be ultimately useless at best and AI-poison at worst. You're gonna spend more money fixing the AI's we break and hand picking through every scrap of data we submit than you'd EVER make from selling our data- which we give to you for FREE by the way- to AI tech scams. Oh, and the court settlements from people who explicitly do NOT consent to this, but you force them to do so anyways with sneakily added "opt-in by default", and the ones from the companies that take your poisoned data and get their models broken from it... Yeah, feeding UNFILTERED data by default into ai? REAL sound business investment, just like investing into Enron! Surely, this will go totally well for you and not result in your userbase abandoning you, encouraging adblockers, poisoning THEIR data you intend to steal, the people you intend to sell said poisoned and trashed data to blacklisting you, and your investors thusly pulling out. AI is the future, clearly, and that's why the uservoice threads calling for it to be opt out or entirely removed get hundreds and thousands of comments in support...

since this was implimented, i did my best to turn it off and i just permaban anyone that somehow finds a way around it and knocks. I personally hate the feature and how it overtakes chats of people that didnt lock it down, causing me to misclick it if i want to chat. So I dont chat anymore.

update: instead of listening to its userbase that generative AI has no place here, Twitch has decided that it wants to also wants to feed our content- which they get for free from us and want to make us opted into by default- into generative AI to train it.

I'm losing faith that anyone at twitch actually reads these or looks at how many votes they have. Makes me want to find other platforms where the teams behind them actually do care...

Keep up with the AI imagery and your artist community will leave. You were built off the backs of artists- to use Generative AI for your images when there are SO many artists here that would make you better images for free specifically to use is tragic, and quite frankly, stupid from a business sense.

Grow up, twitch. Be better. Nobody wants this.

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!   These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown. You can find out more information here: https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1603148201489580032

I need to be able to filter what content gets advertised on my streams. As of 6/15/2025, twitch is allowing a cryptocurrency company to purchase ad space and run ads for 5 weeks on twitch, which is something I'm vehemently against. I have no way to block that ad from being viewed in my space other than to promote subs, turbo, and occasionally remind people that a 3rd way to skip ads may allegedly exist if either of those two options aren't viable for an individual. That last part is not something I want to do. That last part is not something *you*, or your investors, want anyone to do. But it's the only tool creators have, at this moment, other than shutting down ads entirely.

You have a sort of groundwork for this already, as advertisers can decide to not run ads on certain types of content- bring that same tool to creators, and let it work the other way around as well. For your sake, for my sake, and most importantly *for your investor's sake*, fix this. It's a major and compounding loss for all involved to keep it as it is currently. I like my ad revenue, I like when people sub because they want to and not because they have to in order to skip a deplorable advertiser. Help me help you make your ad space, and your sub/turbo programs, more valuable.

Hey, remember when I said it would be used to discriminate against minorities?

With the ad revenue changes, this is now effectively financially discriminating against LGBT+ people. And wow, that only took 6 months!

The language is still too vague, and will still be used to discriminate against protected minorities.

    1) People have died, and erasing these highlights *will* erase public memorials. 2) historic world records are stored in highlights, so erasing them will erase history. In all this is a HUGE L for twitch, and will incentivize people to move to twitch's competitors. It's bad for the users, and HORRIBLE for investors

    Relevant Update  ·  Twitch responded

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.

Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.

In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.

We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.
