1. Remove "queer" as a banned word

   Queer is not a slur. It is how a HUGE number of people identify, ESPECIALLY by those who are non-binary or exist outside of the gender spectrum.

   It is used by prominent politicians, organizations, medical offices, artists, creators, and members of your own site.

   By banning this term from panels, bios, and elsewhere on channels, you are actively participating in discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community.

   It's LITERALLY what the Q in your "LGBTQIA+" tag stands for.

   Remove this word as a "banned word." Stop limiting queer creators from existing on your platform.

   Update: UserVoice has removed “queer” from their filter. You should now be able to use the word on this site.

2. Like with "Email Verification" add Phone Verification!

   As a moderator of a few channels, we've had a massive issue with one particular troll using a VPN to evade bans. This is a massive issue for us because; this user will spam hateful messages, racist slurs, bullying/harassment and even spam the streamer's private personal info. This has been such an issue, that some people I know have had to take a long break from streaming or quit altogether!

   I implore you Twitch. Please add an option to enable Phone number verification!
   I believe this will strongly deter users from ban evading, as it commonly costs to use phone number changers, and takes a lot longer to set up!

   With this, it is unlikely that trolls would find a phone number changing software that is both fast and free.

   Alternatively, having an option that forces chatter's accounts to be older than a day, would also help greatly!

   Please Twitch! This issue has gone on for so long and it really destroying streams!

3. Allow us to use the word autistic in our About section.

   I am an autistic person and this affects how I communicate. I want to ensure people are aware of this when joining my stream, and so I've always had it in my "about" section. It's a diagnosed disability and integral to who I am.

   I went to update my about info recently and it kept failing moderation. Turns out it's because I can now no longer use the word autistic in my bio.

   This is really ableist erasure. I know some people use "autistic" as an insult but the correct answer isn't to censor people using it legitimately. It's to effectively moderate reports of people misusing it.

   Please remove this filter so I can disclose my own neurodivergent traits to people as I see fit.

4. uncensor the word disabled, it is not an offensive or dirty word, we should be allowed to identify with being disabled

   I was shocked to learn today that twitch won't allow the word 'disabled' in twitch titles. As someone who has been told not to call myself disabled and made to feel ashamed about being disabled, this has absolutely disgusted me. If we can use the word disabled in tags, why can't we use it in titles? I was trying to use the word disabled to let my viewers know that my disability was bad that day, which is important to me so that viewers know not to push when my disability is worse/so they understand why my behaviour is the way it is. I cannot think of a reason to censor the word disabled, and it only seems to be deemed as inappropriate in certain contexts? I had to reword my title to get the word disabled uncensored.

5. Blacklist the word "schizo"

   I urge Twitch to blacklist the word "schizo" from its platform due to its offensive nature and potential to harm individuals with schizophrenia. While the associated 3rd-party emote ("SCHIZO") may be popular and contribute to normalizing the use of the word, it is essential to focus on the term itself rather than the content of the emote.

   Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder affecting millions worldwide. Living with schizophrenia is challenging, and many individuals with the condition may not even be aware that they have it. The casual use of the term "schizo" on Twitch contributes to stigmatization and "otherizing" of those affected by this disorder.

   I understand that Twitch has little power over 3rd-party apps and extensions; this request is not about removing the emote itself, but blacklisting the word it is named after to promote a more inclusive and respectful environment on Twitch. Some users might be upset about the potential change to the emote's name, however, it is crucial to consider the broader implications of using a term that can be offensive and harmful to a vulnerable group of individuals. To further accentuate that this request would not result in censoring anybody--an alternative word like "CRAZY" could be used to depict the same message, using the same GIF; this suggestion is far less offensive and does not specifically target individuals with any particular mental disorder.

   It's important to mention that users cannot see 3rd-party emotes without the use of an app or extension, meaning that many users will only see the word "SCHIZO" being spammed in chat (especially in the native Twitch mobile app). Blacklisting this term will help reduce the potential for misunderstanding and perpetuation of stigma surrounding schizophrenia. Regardless of whether the word is used in association with an emote, it's presence on the platform is not conducive to the site that Twitch is intended to be, as it is predominantly used in a derogatory manner and is strongly opposed by mental health experts. That being said, I recognize that many if not most chatters using the term today may not fully grasp the implications of their choice of words and likely do not intend any harm or offense (not to mention that they must type "SCHIZO" to depict the intended emote).

   In conclusion, I urge Twitch to blacklist the term "schizo" to prevent further stigmatization and discrimination of people living with schizophrenia. By doing so, we can create a more understanding, empathetic, and respectful environment for everyone, including those living with mental health conditions like schizophrenia. Making these small but meaningful changes will encourage more thoughtful consideration from 3rd-party emote makers when naming their emotes and ensure that emotes, in general, do not contribute to the marginalization or "otherizing" of vulnerable individuals.

   We have increased the severity of the word “schizo” in AutoMod, so it is now caught at lower shield levels.

6. Prohibited words in title

   Why is blm now a prohibited word? It's been in my stream title up until recently when it tells me the word is not allowed. This is not the first time I've not been allowed to use regular words or certain acronyms. Please explain.
