Set redemption prices to points and/or bits
With the latest feature where three new redeems are added that costs bits instead of points, it did give me an idea:
Let us set the price of all redeems in points and/or bits. You have to set the price in one or the other, and if you leave a field blank (or at 0) you can't pay in that currency.
When choosing a redeem, there can be two buttons, one for points and one for bits. Always display both, left for bits, right for points, regardless if it's available, so the buttons are always in the same location.
One tricky part with custom redeems is that they can be refunded. A simple idea here is that you don't get rewarded the bits until you confirm the redeem in the queue. I know a lot of streamers don't clear the queue, but this is the only way I think it would work. As long as it's unconfirmed, the bits will be placed aside, until you confirm and take them, or refund and give it back.
Another tricky part is how redeems would be sorted, and that it wouldn't be enough space to list both prices on the redeems.
But in general, this would allow viewers to spend more bits, and also getting something out of it, if they don't have enough points. It's more beneficial for the streamers and Twitch. Also should be completely optional for the streamers.

@DraleZero you have a good point about having shorter cooldowns for when paying with bits. I already think there should be two options for cooldowns: global and per user (so you could have 1 min global but 5 min per user for better control).
But it would also be useful to have separate cooldown for bits as well, as you say. Easiest is to have a switch that says "Bits ignore limits" and bypasses the cooldown and limited number of usages. Otherwise having a switch that lets you override the values for bits, giving you a second set of values to fill out.
I assume that if you set 3 min points-cooldown and 1 min bits-cooldown, it doesn't matter if a viewer redeemed it with points or bits, since it should be 3 min since the last time that redeem was used in any way to be able to use points again.
Then on the screen where it counts down, have the counter placed above the button it's counting down for (and add the timer to mobile as well, and allow us to set seconds on custom redeems).

Please allow us to set bits values for redeems so viewers can use bits, points, or both.
For example, if there is a cooldown, a viewer can use bits to bypass the cooldown. We may also want a cool down option for using bits on that redeem as well to control spam.
I have redeem with a long cool down as a "freebie" teaser for limited use, but people can pay bits as well, which I have setup manually through third party bot when it would be better if they could just pay bits directly on the redeem to trigger it.
We could also have redeems that are bits only if we choose. This way we can set multiple items same price. Currently have to create different bit amounts (bit menu) for each reward so my bot knows what alert to display.
