Add Roku as a platform for games Roku has ~450 games on it developed specifically for it (proprietary language), and should be included as a platform. The games land somewhere between early iOS and flash games, while also having some ports of arcade and DOS classics (Prince of Persia, Galaga, Pacman, Tetris, etc). There are still games actively being released, some of which are exclusive to this platform.

Add Leapfrog Didj platform There are already a few Leapfrog platforms but this one is not present even if many games are in the database but they're mostly not easy to access as the release can't be added without a platform

obviously, the mii channel is a grey area situation with it not being really a game, however, it is in accordance with the site rules regarding non-game software as described on the github page: https://github.com/twitchtv/igdb-contribution-guidelines/wiki/Non%E2%80%90Game-Software

Amstrad GX4000 While there is the Amstrad CPC and Amstrad PCW, the GX4000 (which was Amstrad's only attempt at a home video game console) is not listed. It even had its own library of games (some enhanced for it).
Would it be possible to add that?

Add Reboot of for series It would be nice to distinguish between spin-offs and reboot.
Just saw the "new" Tomb Raiders are under the series "Tomb Raider: Survivor" instead of the original Tomb Raider, which make sense; what doesn't make sense is that this series is tagged as a spin-off of the original, while it is actually a reboot of the Tomb Raider series.Imho, spin-offs is are series like Mana or Kingdom Hearts for Final Fantasy series, or standalone titles like Dirge of Cerberus for Final Fantasy VII.
Which leads to the need of distinguish between series spin-off/reboot and standalone spin-offs.4 votes -
Add new regional languages There are multiple regional languages that aren't available as options when adding new localizations for a game.
I'm Spanish, and in our country alone we have several smaller regional languages, some of which are in danger of becoming extinct - and none of them have any presence in IGDB yet.
There are several initiatives that push for those languages to be brought into the modern era and, as such, many people are doing an enormous amount of work in order to localize as many games as possible to our languages, officially or otherwise.
It would help us out a lot…

Mortal Kombat x Mobile game released in 2015 with the title mortal kombat x mobile has undergone a name change over the years, so the game cannot be found to be able to stream with it, that makes the community even lower.
2 days ago I tried to enter the game into the database but since it is registered, said action was denied, but if it is registered, why is it not in the "Mortal Kombat x MOBILE" category?4 votes -
Place the "Storyline" section higher up in a game's page. A bit of a smaller suggestion, but I think it's a pretty vital one. The storyline description functions as a hook of sorts that attracts players to the game, just as much as the Description and Screenshot sections. I find it counterintuitive that the storyline is buried all the way to the bottom of the page... it should be more visible, in my opinion. i.e. both physical game boxes and game pages on online storefronts like PSN or Steam have game descriptions, storyline descriptions , and images all located close together because they're all important aspects to pull gamers in.

Game icon There's already a request for logos and I would like to add this request for icons, like the ones used for the game shortcuts.

Add a field for a URL for a Microsoft Store page As I was in the process of adding a game to the database, I was shown a list of fields into which I could enter URLs to that game's pages on various stores (Steam, GOG, Epic, etc.) but there was no URL field for the Microsoft Store. Why? The Microsoft Store has to be one of the most popular digital game sources. When IGDB adds a field for a Microsoft Store URL, I will edit the game's entry on IGDB to add a link to that game's Microsoft Store page.

As a matter of fact we have plans this year to introduce stores, and possibly linking them to “Platforms”. You are correct that windows, XOne, X360 etc.. all have different stores so they would need separate implementation.

Applications Hello, you can add Visual Studio Code and maybe there should be categories for Applications, such as Visual Studio Code and also Photoshop, etc.
( I use Discord and I would like to have the option to turn it on so I can see how long I spent in the program so I know how long I should charge :D, since I'm competing with a friend, I would appreciate it on Discord, thank you )3 votes -

Allow abbreviations and aliases to be registered for titles in languages other than English Just as there are abbreviations and aliases for English titles, there are also abbreviations and aliases in other languages.
For example,
in Japanese, the subtitle for Wizardry V is "災渦の中心" for the SFC and "災禍の中心" for the PS1.
They are very similar, but the difference is "渦" and "禍".
As an abbreviation,
"機動戦士ガンタム ギレンの野望" is sometimes referred to as "ギレンの野望" because "ギレンの野望" has been made into a series.3 votes -
Ad a missing VR platform Quest 3S On 15th october meta released a new headset - Quest 3S. It's missing in the database. For example, Batman Arkham Shadow is compatible with Quest 3 and Quest 3S.

It would be great if you could add the option to add information about the creators of the videogames: directors, designers, scriptwriters.. Also to record the great personalities of the videogames: Hideo Kojima, Satoru Iwata, Fumito Ueda, Shigeru Miyamoto...
I sincerely believe that this is the only thing that this site is missing.

Gyro aiming Hi! It would be really great to include something like an 'input' option so you can find games with native gyro aiming.
I'm always trying to find good gyro coop fps games to play with my girlfriend (I can only really do it with gyro) and it takes a LOT of google searching, it's a massive pain..
I don't think it's necessary to include Steam gyro, just eg PS4 / PS5 and Switch games that have it built in.
There's hardly any games so it wouldn't take long to have it all complete, but the list is hopefully growing, especially…
