Allow PG "Dumpy" style emotes on Twitch.
A Dumpy emote is an emote with a shaking butt in a circle and does not contain nudity or sexually explicit content of any kind. There are over 900 of them on Twitch as of this writing.
Dumpy emotes are incredibly popular among a wide number of communities on Twitch. However, they have been removed by Twitch Moderation at seemingly random for violating the community guidelines.

As these emotes are based on a draw-over of the PG movie Open Season from 2006 it seems absurd to ban them from the platform.

I don’t believe these should be against community guidelines, it does not show anything explicit, and more explicit stuff is allowed on the platform. It’s a silly little dancing emote and we want it back please!

I really don't believe that these emotes are a breach of community guidelines. It's a silly character doing a silly little dance, and completely PG. Many more explicit things have been allowed on Twitch, so removing these emotes seems unreasonable.

Considering the recent update to the TOS, these kinds of emotes shouldn't be removed anymore. Even the risque emotes, that are still on twitch mind you, where much more of the buttocks is clearly visible or drawn in a manner that is much more explicit are still all over the platform and it is just silly to be removing the more PG ones while those are still usable.

The Dumpy emote style is totally fine- please find a different criteria for deciding what is 'sexual', like a ***** or flesh tones or something.

While I understand the necessity of protecting the platform by controlling what images may be uploaded on it context is just as important.
As Thor has stated the image and context for the emote are not only child friendly but were also intended for children in the first place.Out of all the streamers on Twitch and the content they provide Thor is one of the safest and friendliest on the platform and his community are the same.
We all love the Dumpy emote and hope to see that reasonable minds prevail and that the context is understood and hope to see the return of it to his channel and subscribers.

i have no clue how the dupy emote can be considered sexual in nature so its removal is unfounded in my opinion

Freedom of expression is important, so are maintaining the values of a platform. Removing dumpy is doing neither. You are sending a message that not only is the community not allowed to have emotes that contribute to a greater enjoyment of the system, but that we must be overly careful so as to not put time and effort into the platform lest it be removed on a moment's notice with basically no appeal. As a user, it's frustrating to not be able to have the content we enjoy, but looking inward at the people who make these emotes, I suspect its demoralizing the content creators and eventually would lead to the avoidance of adding new emotes. The mere fact that there's no way to even appeal the loss of an emote is horrifying. Please consider the impact it has to a community when you remove beloved emotes that are absolutely non-sexual, for the reason that they are sexual. It's confusing, it's saddening, and ultimately it's just incredibly frustrating.

Take a look at what is being allowed in the Art category now and then at the "Dumpy" emotes being discussed here. One is obviously sexual...and it isn't the emotes.

If someone at Twitch finds a pet's butt ****, that's just creepy. What kind of people do you hire?

Cartoon dumpy dances have been around a very long time and come from classic hand drawn cartoon movies. They were very popular for many years from 2010 in G rated movies:
Eg Rio 2, Capybara dance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRqmMeq2qjQThe lion king from 1994 and spin off series have animal dancing, as does fantasia from 1940. Disney is marketed at PG13 or less so a blanket ban seems unjustified.
While there are many who would push the rules and have done so, there are more that should be well within the non-sexual PG13 or under realm.
The guidelines could be amended to allow dumpy style emotes provided they are
Non-sexual in nature
Singular creature
Not realisticAnd do NOT show
Outlined, highlighted or cheek curves (eg side view)
Any sign of a butthole
other objects than the single animal
liquids or other substancesEg this would fail as multiple animals and even if clipped to a single penguin the other penguins hand would be counted as both another animal and an object.
Penguins of Madagascar, Slap dance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzdbwQxQEdgYou could even add additional rules
that they must match the stream or streamers theme. Eg ferrets for pirate software.
Streamer has not ever streamed in the hot tub section, where the community and content maybe borderline sexual. -

There is nothing graphic about a rotating rump - especially in comparison to recent 18+ changes on this website such as openly revealing (****** hidden/covered) breasts on stream. I believe non inflammatory twerking/bucking in a 28x28 emote is a god given right.

This is a wholesome ferret dancing with everything it's got. It's wholesome and something even Disney wouldn't think twice to include on something they made, so why wouldn't it be allowed here?

These style of emotes are beloved across multiple twitch communities and do not show any explicit imagery or brand unfriendly material. So long as the emotes fall within a well defined set of rules or standards they can do no harm, especially considering the original inspiration was a PG rated kids movie. Nothing is explicitly shown in these emotes outside of the "cartoonish" anatomyless design which does not harm and falls well within the limits or what is allowed to be showed in PG rated media.

Classic prudish over reaction.

I agree. There's nothing obscene or suggestive about this kind of animation. It can be seen as celebratory or taunting in a friendly manner. It's not malicious, violent, or sexually suggestive in any way.

I don't see a problem with these style of emotes as long as they remain PG. A lot of the banned emotes never showed anything explicit and are much loved by many different communities. However there are always the ones that should be banned for being overtly explicit and I believe that those should be dealt with on a case by case basis.

PG emotes should be fine. They are a fun way to be expressive and interact with the chat. There's nothin wrong with this, especially in comparison to the kind of thing twitch enabled for a day before rolling everything back. Small steps are the way forward and this is the smallest of steps.

I see no problem with these style of emotes, if PG movies are ok with this stuff then I feel its ok to have here as well.
