So people will often "gift a sub to the community" that all fine and dandy. but I go to other streamers, and maybe i'm a bit short one month and skip my re-sub... and i'm sure other people do too, or discover a stream they like and want to support them in a financial way.... and maybe they don't want to gift a sub to someone else... this is where i think my approach will be great... when you go to the screen to do these actions [buy yourself a sub, or gift a sub] there should be an option to buy back a [past] month...

example i've been streaming 9 months now. someone has been subbed 2 of those months, and wants to sub the 7 months they missed... allow people to buy back the months they didn't buy - at the time - let them buy themselves months all the way back to the "first" badge...

something like this will give twitch and the streamer more money, and people the ability to support the streamer, and not necessarily have to "gift to the community" but rather show their support to the channel, back to the first month the streamer was on stream, [affiliated or partnered] possibly with an astrict ** in the first symbol;, but still,. we can argue the details later..

i for one would do this for those streamers i enjoy that i was not financially able to support at the time... or i discovered months after their first month...

also this may resolve the near impossible "out of people to gift a sub to" situation, cause ultimately u could be gifted a sub, but apply it to a month you missed... if i want to gift jimmy a sub to steve... but jimmy is already subbed that month, i can still do the gift sub to the specific person, and it'll count.... instead of having to wait for his sub to lapse then buy it...
