Keep gift sub badges indefinitely
Bit badges are kept forever in the channel they are earned, but gift sub badges will get removed once the last gift sub has expired. I don't understand the incentive to earn gift sub badges that we aren't allowed to keep, especially with higher amount gift sub badges becoming available.

The message box that can't be dismissed warning you about losing your gift badge is incentive not to gift subs.
Why is everything about gifting subs is worse than using bits for the person funding the transaction when gifted subs are far better for the streamer and their community (and, presumably, Twitch).
