You should be able to choose which sub badge do you want to use after you unlocked them

Subs should be able to choose any sub badge they already unlocked, for example a 14 month sub should be able to choose between the 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, and 12 month badges, there are some people who like a specific sub badge and would like to stick to it, also if this is too confusing for streamers, there should be an option to turn it off

    This would be really useful, as there might be cases where people prefer the look of previous sub badges to later ones.

    2 years later and I still google this occasionally to see if its a thing yet. Agreed it should be controlled by the broadcaster to enable this setting or not.

    I agree, especially since they can already do the same with bit badges. I feel like this incentivizes more subscriptions too since people can customize their chat look with their subscriber badges more freely.

    Hi quick one, is it necessary to have a progressing sub status badge? Why can't people use the ones they like most but keep unlooking new ones?

    If you have a high sub badge (as in you've been subbed to a particular streamer for a long time), but you liked the look of a previous sub badge better, it would be really nice to view earlier sub badges, especially if a streamer is offline who doesn't have a very active offline chat. I was thinking earlier that it might be nice to actually change your badge to an earlier one that you might think is prettier, but that might be too confusing and it would probably not be a good idea to deceive the streamer who probably doesn't always have time to actually hover over the badge and see how long the user has actually been subbed for LUL.
