I'd like the ability to put a message in a gift sub that gets posted for everyone to see with the notification of a gifted sub to a channel.

    being able to send a message with subscriptions help thank the community and is similar to bits but also helping the fellow watchers of streams

    I often gift subs for humorous reasons, or something specifically cool a chatter has done.

    Would be nice to be able to make a comment (like you can when you sub), when you gift a sub.

    It's really weird to me that the activity feed says "Community Sub gifts". It should say "Tier 1/2/3 Sub gifts."

    this is an incredible thought. i don't even know why it's not standard. it'd be incredible to be able to send a message about the sub when getting a gift sub.

    This just makes sense. Not having it is an oversight in the User-Experience in my opinion. Attaching a comment when giving 10's or 100's of dollars makes sense from a gifting incentivization and even just a usability perspective because often streamers pause and have a look at chat trying to hunt down if the person said anything for why they gifted (if it happens at an unexpected time). And streamers would then have the ability to display it on scream, in the same way as bit messages of a certain value.

    If someone gifts subs to a channel, they should be able to include a message, much like they can do when they resubscribe to a channel.

    It's legitimately insane that you can attach a message to your prime sub, but if you're gifting hundreds of dollars... Nah, stop being a narcissist a-s-hole and get with it!

    If someone gifts subs to a channel, they should be able to include a message, much like they can do when they resubscribe to a channel.
