Retroactive Sub Gifting
Allow sub gifting for people who are currently subscribed to the channel you want to send a gift for - just add a month to the current subscription they have. That way, you don't have to wait until the time when the person is no longer subscribed, and multiple people can easily contribute to / send gifts to one person.

I realize this was planned since 2018, so I am curious if this is happening. If it is, how will the affect Partner Plus? It could turn paid subs into gift subs and make it harder to achieve 350 as I think this is directed specifically at regulars who are the most likely to do a paid subscription.
Have to admit a few larger gifters would love this in my community but as a streamer, it concerns me a bit if we're aiming for partner plus. -

As it stands now, someone who already has a subscription cannot be gifted a sub; even of a higher tier.
Piggy-Backing off the idea of upgrading someone from Tier 1 to a higher tier, perhaps be able to extend their "current" sub length at the current tier; Twitch by all rights should know when a sub is going to expire, so the gifted sub could be added to end of the existing one. -"user" just gifted you an additional 3 months on your subscription!".

I like to be very selective when I gift subs, and sometimes it can be difficult to find someone in chat that isn't already a sub or isn't a regular viewer yet. Being able to gift on top of someone's currently in use gift sub would be wonderful.

Scenario: It's a users birthday, and someone gifts a sub. They gift one month. And now others in chat who also wanted to celebrate that persons birthday with a gift can't do so.
Background: When gifting a sub to a single user, the gifter can select if they would like to gift multiple months.
Problem: However, once a user has been gifted a single month, another month cannot be gifted until the current month expires. The "Gift a Sub" option on the context menu shows a dithered button.
Solution: When a user has an active subscription, rather than dithering the "Gift a Sub" button, alter the text to read "Gift an additional month."
Implementation: After selecting this option, let the gifter know how many months the user currently has on their account. As gifting a 13th month to a user who has purchased 12 months, might not be what the gifter had in mind.

I totally agree with this. I would love to be able to give and receive gift subs to people who are still subscribed to a channel and let the gift sub roll over into the next month.

Hey Twitch Feedback!
My name is Vaughn Whiskey and I am a affiliate on Twitch. I love that we can now gift subs to people but as a streamer around the holiday months I want to gift subs to viewers for a Christmas gift. Now the problem is that I have to try and do it when their sub runs out and asking them when their sub is out kind of ruins the surprise.
I would love to see stack-able gifting so say it's half way through their sub i can gift them another month for them ahead of their "due date"
Please consider this, it makes things way too difficult when it comes to giving back to a streamers community.
