New username, but the name you want to change is bot Hi, I want to change my username but some bot-account already has it? Is it possible to Twitch delete the bot users so I can get the name that I want?

If you don't return a name after a name change for 6 months, allow me to switch back to one I had previously. If you don't return a name after a name change for 6 months, allow me to switch back to one I had previously.

If someone changes their name dont offer them the EXACT SAME EMOTE PREFIX. If someone goes by NameWasTaken and gets the emote prefix "name1" then changes their name to, say, NameVT, dont 'offer' the 'randomly generated' Prefix of "name1" to them again if they already have it.

Per-language name display We have the option to show our display name, however as I just learned it can only be changed every 60 days.
I have been hanging out in Japanese streams lately, and my name was a bit tricky to pronounce so I wrote it in Katakana, no prob... but now English streamers at times have trouble trying to "@" me, so I thought I'd just flip my name back temporarily while I was hanging out in some English streams. Now I want to flip it back and I'm being told I have to wait 60 days to make another change…

Send a warning email before a partner/staff claim can occur I understand Twitch wanting to give inactive usernames to partners (though I think they should release them to general users as well), but there should definitely be some warning notification or reminder sent out to an account owner when it becomes eligible for a partner claim. It seems to be the same 1 year requirement that Twitch had prior to changing their username policy, but there is no documentation suggesting that users log into their account once a year to prevent their name from being transferred since the username policy update in 2024. I do not understand why they don't…

Lookout for self-promo like eli_samurai03 for example This Person on twitch named eli_samurai03 and it is getting annoying for this self promo-ing the podcast from the other streamers to recommend but people forgot the golden rule about self-promo to watch. He is has been to target vtubers and other stuff and especially this person is having fake compliment. Please reminder the rule about self-promo was only consent with any permission before say something including the show up words in public like i am doing episodes but not too much information per episodes like that just a normal short sentences not infos.

Ban Daypt For Favouritism I'm writing to formally bring to your notice a serious problem of Twitch, which can be found at twitch.tv/daypt for being favouritism against vtuber communities and discord. I am not part of community for daypt's activites because daypt and I are not friends with, just a normal person who help and support but daypt is always steps ahead with little too much ahead for being favourite wasn't always first every single time and little troll left the building when other people noticing like other vtuber just normal checkin and left unexpected just to focus one of the vtubers targetted just…

Is my username doxxing myself? My username is my real name. Is this allowed?
Twitch's guideline on doxxing says that's it's malicious sharing (https://safety.twitch.tv/s/article/Preventing-Doxxing-Swatting-and-other-IRL-Harm?language=en_US) but I'm not being malicious when I use my name...
The username policy (https://safety.twitch.tv/s/article/Usernames?language=en_US) says nothing against what I've done, so I'm confused.

Name History Like to see your whole name history, from the beginning til’ the name you have currently, maybe it will be a nice feature, I kinda struggle to find out my old names, so it kinda would be nice for some people that want to know how they were named.

Remove Cooldown in abandoned usernames I have two accounts and i want to swap usernames. Unfortunately, twitch does not support swap usernames even if you own both accounts.
if I did it the way we have changing username system right now. I will have to wait 6 months for the name I changed released again to available pool IF happens.
They mentioned in FAQ abandoned usernames might NOT BE RELEASED for some unknown reason! Even after 6 months passed!!
we want a guaranteed safe way to swap names easily like Twitter. why we can't do that? just let us swap names like any other website.

reset in the counter of sub donor when changing username I'd like to comment on something that I think it would be nice to have when changing your username, and what happens is that when you change your name the count on the number of subs you have gifted is reset and it's split in two different usernames (your old one and the new one). And, for instance, in the board of leadership of stream elements which is shown in some channels doesn't appear the total of subs concerning your account, and it's split in two as I said before. So, I think you could do something about that because…

Fix displaying future usernames correctly!!! I short while ago, I have changed my username from “PeenutShow” to “Peenut__” (three underlines).
I was happy with the way the new username would be displayed so I went ahead with the change.Unfortunately, the username does NOT get displayed the way it showed it would. The three “underlines” get displayed with gaps in between like this: “Peenut _ _ _ ”
To me, this is a big deal because those gaps make the username look silly and absolutely not to my liking.
I would have NEVER changed the name if your system had shown the future…2 votes -
Make it more accessible to find the name change option I can't tell you how long I've been trying to find how to change your name on here its honestly been really frustrating. I use twitch currently as a way to watch streamers as I don't stream myself.
I made this account some time ago with an old name i no longer associate with. So I looked it up to see if its possible and I read that it is and how to do it.
So I followed the steps on each site meticulously but to no avail was I ever able to even get to an option of changing…2 votes -
old name forwards to new name. After a user changes their name, the old name forwards to the new name until the old name has been recycled for reuse.
Reason: Some cases exist where it is not feasible to spend the time to change all old links to the new link such as in youtube descriptions.
