ID verification
So this new Affiliate ID verification is honestly stupid.
1 - You already have our tax information, because that's how we get paid.
2 - You're joining on with PERSONA, you know Peter Thiel's company. The same Peter Thiel that's in the Epstien Files. The same Peter Thiel that funded Palantir, you know the company that's using information to spy on Americans, deport families, and other police state activity.
Why do you need to do this? Did y'all miss what's happening with Discord? Do you really think the person who was on pedophile island will be keeping kids safe? Do you really think that the dude who's other venture is being used to detain and deport Americans by ICE is really going to help your platform? Also, Persona had a data breach recently and several people's private information just got leaked. As did their code.
This is really disgusting behavior and if you won't walk this back, your platform is going to suffer greatly. You're putting your users and affiliates at serious risk doing this.

This is a power grab for data. Twitch is going to serve marginalized people up on a silver platter to be labeled "domestic terrorists" in the US. I know the situation won't be much better elsewhere- and don't think this isn't an obvious transparent back-alley deal with billionaires, we already know they're pushing legislation to force the issue but it doesn't mean you get to just bend over and take it.
What are you even doing?

Apparently, the surveillance state we are living under is not enough. Twitch/Amazon now feels like it needs to partner with darker affiliates and take more information from us. Bezos already bent the knee and never cared for the streaming platform. Unfortunately, he won’t care if this is a death knell for Twitch.
But, hey, Twitch still platforms streamers with significant violations and dangerous rhetoric. They’ll be happy to bend the knee to comply.
Smaller streamers that make it on this platform already gave a lot of information for tax purposes. To try and extrapolate more is ridiculous and unnecessary.

I am... absolutely appalled by the news that Twitch is partnering with Persona. I saw this elsewhere a little earlier. Age verification is bad enough, though absurd with the tax information piece. You *literally* have their identification.
Does Twitch not pay attention to the news? Or anything at all with what is happening with Discord? Did you not see the *horrific* list of watchlists that Persona is affiliated with through Palantir? And that their own 'assurances' of data handling are untrustworthy?
You are going to get people *killed* under the umbrella of 'save the children'. What do you think those watchlists are going to be used for? ICE and the US military are already showing that they don't actually care about laws. Please, for the sake of literally not putting peoples' lives at risk, if you have to do this, at least do it ethically.
