Stop shadow banning without notifying the user
I think I just got shadow banned. The only thing that tipped me off was being invisible in chat all of a sudden. I checked, and no formal actions have been taken against my account. I am careful to follow community chat guidelines, and it's a big deal to me to be a positive presence in chat. I don't use abusive language or bots. I don't spam. I don't even stream, I'm just a viewer. Shadow banning is illegal in some countries, so I'm going to look into statutes around this to see if it's even allowed in the US.

I can confirm I am currently shadowbanned. When I post something on one device, I cannot see it in the chat on another. I am a very small very new streamer, I make a point to keep my content relatively clean, I'm always respectful in other people's chat on the rare occasion I actually say anything at all. I am concerned about how far this reaches, will it hurt my chances of growth on this platform? This is just flat out wrong...

Same here, I keep getting shadowbanned. Twitch support said it's because of suspicious network activity but I'm not even using a VPN or anything...

This happened to me today. I found a new streamer I was kinda getting into. And then suddenly, my chats weren't appearing. Never heard of this until now. I barely even spoke in chat and was jus watching/listening while I worked. I don't understand what I did wrong.

This exact same situation has happened to me, I checked my stats for the week. Average of 1 viewer, 0 new follows. For context I’ve been at it for three years total and have a decent following, so to have no viewers for a week straight makes me suspicious.
