They won’t even give me my OWN old username back because I lost the email. So instead of my username that I have EVERYWHERE else, it has a stupid zero instead of the letter o. I’ve been told for FOUR YEARS the username would be released to the pool after a year of inactivity but it’s been four years and absolutely NOTHING!

i want frostzb please

Quit being lazy ***** and "recycle" usernames more often. That's how you improve this, geniuses. I swear y'all have the dumbest policies.

the pain

Also looking to get the underscore removed from my name, account that owns my name without the underscore does not come up in twitch without directly typing in the URL, and has not been streaming for 11 years and has 5 followers. I would LOVE to know if they’ve even logged in to it in the last few years. I’d even be okay with having a period at the end of mine since it’s a common thing I do, but twitch doesn’t allow it. It sucks, but it’s going to be a waiting game unless they do something!

Well its new years been trying to get the Name EMYER just plane for 2 years now the account having the user has been afk for probable longer than that i would love some help pleas

I would love this. Please. Someone has my username without the 'r' at the end and they haven't been active in 6 years with zero followers. I don't understand why they keep these old accounts. Anything past like 3 or 4 years should be given a warning or something. Then, if they don't respond in a good amount of time, delete the account.
It just seriously sucks for so many people. Please do something about this.

^^this
please "recycle" (as it is called) unused usernames more often or make it possible for users (maybe once a year) to request if a desired username can be freed up

I'm with you! Been on the hunt for @Tiques for literally YEARS. Maybe close to a decade now. Trying to do the same for other platforms too, I use an underscore almost everywhere. Drives me nuts, especially as a streamer when trying to direct people to my account. Fingers crossed they release something soon!

I feel your pain I can't even find the fatal account name to try and message an get him to release it

My husband has had the same issue! He’s the original itsmethatoneguy on PlayStation, Xbox, league of legends, yahoo and more. The account that has his screen name has not been active since he started and had to add a 1 at the end which viewers give him **** about on stream. It’s been 5 1/2 years now and he still gets told he can’t have it.

This^^ Please
