Seriously tired of getting all of these notifications when I haven't been watching ANYONE on Twitch. I want an option in account settings to stop this altogether because my watch behavior when I am watching doesn't fit their algorithmic bs. It just annoys me and makes me not want to go on twitch at all because it's now giving me negative feelings at the thought of it.
And yes it's absolutely blatantly targeting channels that are mature and/or queer. I haven't watched Mabinogi stream in decades and they've never been removed but the queer friendly streamer that's the prev before last streamer I watched has just been taken off.

Anyone else notice that Twitch only seems to change the Notifications on more mature content channels?
Gameras and Just Chatting, never changes, but anything regarded as Adult, gets swapped quickly, even if you watch the streams.

I cannot believe, that anyone with any economic understanding did implement this. If the users do not get notified, they miss the stream. No watch time no money for twitch.
Just say in the email: If you wish to disable the notification, click here, otherwise just ignore it.

I have the same problem, it is disabling streamers I watch as well! The issue is there are only a couple of those I follow I want email notifications from. So when they disable them, there is a huge list I have to find them again in. So I have to do this every 90 days for all the streamers I have this set for?

Upvoted. Sometimes I don't have time to watch streams, it doesn't mean I want to disable notifications. If I didn't want to watch someone anymore, I'd manually unfollow them.

I would say that the site shouldnt have the overall right to decide which streamers you "need" and which not.
This feature is absolute Nonsense and a huge Invasion of privacy.
Not only the notifications turn-off but also the "unfollow" of streamers you didnt see a specific time. Twitch should stop these invasions on a person's opinions alltogether.

Fully agree, I didn't even realize this was happening until recently when I was randomly scrolling through my "Live Now" list and saw streamers I thought hadn't gone live in a while streaming. I was pretty upset

This notification makes me feel like ****, like I don't support people I care about. I just don't have time to watch so much stuff all the time. Only once in a while can I catch something, but when it's that time, I want to know!!

this "feature" is annoying and pointless, give us an opt out as i got to go re enable notifications everytime it does this. ffs smack the brainlet on the head who pushed this change thru.

I don't know who thought this "feature" was a good idea or why in God's name it's still here. It's not only annoying, but it's extremely insulting.

All of my settings on both twitch and my phone are set to alert me when a stream starts, but it doesn’t work. I know it’s not my settings because it very briefly worked a few months ago, but not anymore. Sick of constantly missing streams.

If I wanted to not get notifications on someone going live, I would either turn those off myself or unfollow the streamer

I submitted a support ticket about this today. After several messages telling me how to set my preferences, they assured me they're not changing my settings. I sent a screenshot of the email telling me they cahnged my settings and they closed the ticket!!

Scrolling through the list of streamers I follow, manually finding and clicking every single one individually to turn them back on because even a bulk "toggle all" button would be too kind. Still the same problems for years and years. What a joke.

Yes please stop thinking AI knows better than I do what notifications I want. This is the worst "feature".
