Proposal: Open Source TV Apps
The TV Twitch apps, such as the Chromecast app, have not seen maintenance in quite a while and are in need of a maintainer. There are various issues with the TV apps such as unsupported new features, stream delay, etc. It may be best to distribute this work to the community by open sourcing the codebases for these apps, with Twitch staff managing only review and deployments. This would allow for developers like myself to improve the Twitch user experience on TV based Twitch apps.
