since the release of your new Twitch app for AppleTV I have the following criticisms:
Home page:
- Where can I set "my language" (german) so that under "Channels in my language" I am no longer shown ALL international channels with ALL languages?
Live streams:
- There is no display of how long the current stream has been running (uptime).
Stream recordings ("Earlier broadcasts"):
- The date from when the stream or clip is from is missing - both in the thumbnails and in the enlarged view.
- The rewind and fast forward function is a disaster! It's extremely unwieldy, very inaccurate and totally complicated to use and doesn't take the modern touch interface of the AppleTV remote control into account at all!
- Also missing is a skip function that jumps 10 seconds forward or backward in the video.
Why do you want to "reinvent the wheel" with your new app? Why can't you fall back on well-known and popular functionalities? Even with the recent update of the ARD media library app, the playback of their videos has been changed to the general standard (wiping the touch surface causes the video to be fast-forwarded or rewound, a click causes it to jump 10 seconds back, etc.)
I hope very much that you will revise the app again, because at the moment it's just a big annoyance for me and it's no fun anymore to watch live streams and stream recordings.

2020 and now it’s 2023–THATS depressing bc im here trying to find a solution just to be able to watch anything re: ff & rewind issues. Why one EARTH would u set it up this way more or less leave it? It’s completely unintegrated with the remote (that might be technical okay... then why make it such a complete and utter nightmare to use). twitch has across the board been THE biggest accessibility issues platform I’ve ever encountered, w no modifications for ppl with needs there. It’s already an issue for ppl without them! Unfortunately it’s seeming like the only solution after years of trying is to delete twitch & restructure to watch my stream via YT, even if I have to wait...possibly hack w a third party twitch app. So ridiculous. Get your house in order twitch. (UGH, just to leave this comment, once AGAIN was forced as always to go thru an obnoxious encrypted obstructed twitch log in + email login & code retrieval— there’s no way to turn that off & they told me so much and that there wouldn’t be when I’ve contacted before. This is absurd. You’re more obstructed UI wise & inexcessible than Facebook & they do it on purpose! As someone w a cognitive disability, This is all excrutiating. I’ve been through 3 hardware changes trying to just get your app to work on a BASIC level to stream comfortably once a week, that’s it. The content is starting to not matter I’m so done with this. I’m searching for access else where. I can’t believe it’s so bad when you would think in the culture they cater too this stuff would be valued. Gross)

I cant figure out for the life of me how to return to the stream I was watching.
Without having to go and dig around to find it after I bring up the menu to browse other things.

You cannot fast forward or rewind VODS. I had to delete the app and just use my iPhone mirror with my TV.

Second your suggestion for uptime. I have to make regular trips to the website for this information instead of being able to see it on Apple TV.
