I have the same exact issue on a 65 TCL with Google TV, it always stutters at 1080p any fps, happens TOO much it gets me stressed as it has always done this since i bought the TV, i can watch 4K on YT but not 1080 on Twitch? sad, Please TWITCH, fix this issue.

Still an issue. Please fix. It is super annoying. For anyone in the meantime, you can use NightDevs TwitchCast which has always worked for me... Just sad that you have to use a third party to enjoy a stream on your television.

Same problem here. TCL 4k Google TV stutters...

I also have this problem. New budget TCL 4K Google TV, can't handle Twitch at anything higher than 720p if I'm lucky. 1080p stutters every few seconds.

The TV can play 4K content from Youtube, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc with no stuttering or buffering, so the TV (and my network) is clearly capable of 4K bandwidth.

My PC on the exact same network can handle Twitch at 1080p with no stuttering, so my network can clearly handle 1080p from Twitch.

The only thing left that could be causing this is the app.

I have a Sony TV with Android TV.
After an update to the Twitch app, nothing runs at 1080p anymore
On all other devices in my house it runs at the best quality, except on Android TV.

The same problem occurs in the LG WebOS app! These bitrate drops are pretty bad for big screens!
