2. Siri Voice Commands on iOS/iPhone/iPad

   Please add support for Siri voice commands, such as Rewind and Fast Forward, when watching videos on demand. For example, “Hey Siri, Rewind 30 seconds”, or “Hey Siri, Fast Forward two minutes.”

   Currently that can only be done with on-screen buttons but the app doesn’t support those Siri commands. Siri responds with “Sorry I couldn’t go back” or “Sorry I couldn’t skip this”. A good example of how this SHOULD work is the native iOS Podcasts app.

3. twitch on ios entirely unusable

   since the most recent update twitch mobile has been unusable. not only is the ui clunky now, i cant even see half of it. i cant see the pinned messages on a stream, i cant see the stream title, there are huge gaps between chat messages for seemingly no reason, and sometimes icons completely disappear. you can go to type a message the the send button will be completely gone. the channel points button also disappears. sometimes i reload the stream and all i get is audio, no stream. reloding the app seems to just make it worse.

4. Better Stream Streak Notifications

   Need better Stream Streak notifications. I have had multiple instances of having a high stream streak being rest because of one missed stream, all because A. I didn’t get the going live notification or B. I never got a notification that my stream streak was in trouble of being reset. These should be customizable per channel like the going live notifications.

5. “Gift Panel” is stupid and needs to go!

   Why would anyone want additional UI when going full screen? It stays even if you use no chat mode and just takes up screen space and blocks part of the content you are actually trying to watch. If someone cared enough to donate they would just un-fullscreen. For story/singleplayer games it’s impossible to get immersed with the stream when you have stupid buttons staring you down for no reason.

   JUST REMOVE IT AND STOP MAKING UNNECESSARY UNWANTED CHANGES!

7. New Mobile App

   I know Many Many people have been rightfully describing their issues and concerns with the latest Twitch Update and the more people that can accurately explain how the new UI is interfering with users ability to enjoy this platform. I would like to bring attention to how statements made in the Update Announcement Blog post are not representative of my personal experience, and would encourage other users to do the same.
   First I would like to say that the new UI is not intuitive for a first time user, I am still fairly new to Twitch as a platform, but the new Home page is incredibly daunting and even with the stream muted, immediately having an (often random) stream playing is distracting and makes it harder to process the rest of the apps pages. Previously I was able to open the app and immediately locate my followed Live accounts, after the update it took me several minutes even with the following button labeled to locate it because of how the white overlay appears. Even with the feed autoplay turned off (which I had to search through the settings to even find since its location was not specified by the blog and that option not described anywhere else) the amount of information in a transparent overlay on top of an unrelated image is distracting and makes processing what is happening in the app difficult, Especially since mobile should be optimized for a smaller screen.
   
   Second, having streams and clips being on the same page as the Following button means that I am often misclicking and/or accidentally swiping disrupting my ability to effectively use the mobile advantage of being able to quickly check information from my phone. A large advantage of having a mobile app I feel, besides being able to use the platform on the go, should be to engage with the platform in quick passing ways, in the blog they mention that the goal of this new home page is to do that, but instead I find myself clicking away from the stream I wanted to watch by accident when trying to join, as well as choosing to check who is live and stream schedule exclusively on desktop because the new UI makes finding that information harder instead of easier.
   Third, Swiping between streams is tiring, so many other apps require quick swiping, and part of the appeal of becoming a twitch user for me was having a place to watch and engage with Long Form content without that requirement. I can go to Snapchat, and TikTok and Instagram, and Linkden if I want to repeatedly swipe. Now with both Youtube and and Twitch pushing short form clips content it really makes me want to stop using these platforms all together.
   TL:DR The new UI is not intuitive to new users, the Home Page buttons being on a transparent overlay with live streams playing (unless manually paused) makes it especially difficult to use, the combination of the Discovery Feed with the Clips feed with the Following Button makes it difficult to quickly navigate to the desired category without inadvertently swiping to the wrong feed, and the changes to the Discovery Feed to emulate short form content social media apps dis-incentivizes me to use the App at best and actively pushes me to seek other forms of media.

9. Interface

   When I use the pop out mini player to continue watching a stream in the corner of my screen, it then starts playing another random stream from this new “live feed” which I don’t want, AND I CANNOT MUTE OR PAUSE IT. so when I press play to continue using the pop out player it’s now playing two streams at the same time?! I have the stream audio and the live feed audio which I. CAN. NOT. MUTE. All I want to do is continue watching my current stream and browse my followed channels (which is now unnecessarily hard to find?)
   Please either revert/change this interface, it’s horrible!!

10. Mobile App

    Please improve the interface of the mobile app. Every time I rotate my phone into theater mode, the app becomes inoperable. It gets really annoying to have to force close the app every time I do this.

11. Recent update is extremely buggy

    Current iOS app version is extremely buggy.

    • Following tab will frequently jitter around at a rapid rate requiring a restart
    • chat messages sometimes frequently don’t render. Rotating to wide view and back will render those chats
    • pinned and banners often don’t render
    • at times all stream control functions disappear. Unable to pause, zoom, exit, etc. requires restart.
    • attempting to view a stream after being in chat only can sometimes not start the stream requiring a restart.

    None of these bugs existed before the recent update. I am beginning to look for an alternative app.

12. Please stop sending me “stream streak” push notifications

    Please stop sending me “stream streak” push notifications, a form of marketing. I have live notifications for specific channels and gift-sub notifications enabled, all others explicitly disabled. There is no category for this new form of notification either to enable or disable it. Therefore, this is a form of unsolicited marketing communication and may arguably even be illegal in some jurisdictions with no way to opt-out.

13. Picture in Picture

    My device mutes when I return to the app from picture-in-picture mode. Pressing the mute button twice in the bottom right corner of the streaming screen unmutes it. I tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by twitchJP but the problem persisted.

    How do you guys give more ads than watching the stream it gets annoying when your just trying t watch your fav streamer and then you have to watch 30 ads. 19. The app is mostly pointless.

    I just spent all this time once again looking for a simple feature on the app. I was trying to delete a stream and it turns out I have to go to the desktop version on my phone. If I have to go to the desktop version on my phone to do simple things like deleting a video, the app is pointless. I got the app so I wouldn't have to zoom in on the page and scroll around and on the app I stay logged in. I don't want to have to keep a Twitch page up in my browser where I have to log in everytime i go back to it just to do basic things the app should allow. And I have to deal with the SMS code everytime which means if I can't pay my phone bill when it's due since I haven't made any money from Twitch yet I'd be screwed.
