1. モバイルアプリとブラウザ版の機能統一

   下記、Webブラウザ版の既存機能をスマホアプリでも使用できるようになれば嬉しいです。

   ①スマホアプリからも、各チャンネルページ内で、ゲームタグごとの動画検索や、各動画のチャプター選択ができるようにしてほしい。

   ②スマホアプリからも、リアルタイム配信中の動画を開始時点から追っかけ再生(巻き戻し,早送り)ができるようにしてほしい。

2. Low bandwidth mode

   Even with a strong 5G signal, the stream may struggle to play in as low as 720p with frequent pauses. This is even with low latency and animated emotes turned off.

   Please consider adding a toggle that a user can turn on when in a low bandwidth area.

   The feature can reduce bandwidth by: turning chat off, disabling any pop ups like hype trains, etc., so that bandwidth can be prioritized for the stream.

3. Suggestions to improve Twitch mobile/home feed

   From reading here, the new Home feed view certainly has evoked some negative feelings. I don't dislike the change, although there are certainly some things that don't work well about it and I wanted to offer some constructive suggestions:

   1. The home feed should start muted, and provide the option to turn sound on. It is annoying when watching another stream, and dragging to PiP starts playing the stream from the home feed instead

   2. Rather than hitting the heart button to see the list of followed channels, I suggest that swiping left to right bring the flyout in. I also suggest this also be available with the same left to right swipe when watching a channel.

   3. There have been times after the new updates where the iOS app will just freeze - can't scroll chat, can't minimize the playing stream, can't tap to type a chat message. Only option is to kill the app and reopen.

   4. Regarding the home feed itself, I would prefer there to be two different view - one for ONLY the channels I follows (the default) and one for suggested channels to discover. I don't like them intermingled in the same feed. Maybe provide that as part of the tabs within the home feed? "Live" <-> "Discover" <-> "Clips"

4. No more harmful ads

   Some ads that appear at the top are hurtful, like the big South Park one with the words Stop the Obesity and an image of a character that’s made to look excessively overweight. It’s harmful for those who struggle with body image and practically shames those who are overweight. GET RID OF THESE ADS.

5. Stop telling me about app updates

   Bring back the option to turn off the constant nagging about app updates. It literally happens every day! There used to be a toggle called “notify me about updates”, why was this removed?

   Solution: a much better solution would be to have a thin banner that quickly fades out. That is a notification. It need to fade out and not be manually dismissed, unlike the pistol to the head approach that is the current pop up solution.

   This is the main reading why I don’t use the mobile app and it keeps me from becoming a paying customer.

   I want to check for updates myself and am so sick of the nagging. There are absolutely zero problems with the version I have now but even if I were to update it every time there is a new version (that brings zero real improvements to me), I still would get nagged to death about these updates every three days or so!! Can you imagine how annoying that would be for a paying customer? What happened to putting the customer first?

   If I dismiss the pop-up, I would absolutely NOT want it to be back after X hours later! No means no!

6. UX user experience mobile app improvements

   Necessary changes to the mobile app from a user experience (both iOS/iPadOS/Android)

   If you are a Twitch dev reading this, here’s your big chance to get that promotion!

   I’ve been on this platform since it was called Justin.TV and 4pp was playing clock tower and Fatal Frame and has seen how this app has stagnated over the years. It just does not cut it anymore and it can’t keep up with competition. The user experience is quite poor on the smaller screens and here is how to address that:

   Step 1. The player and chat layout needs a complete overhaul( the new layout makes no sense as it is cluttered and has only one message at the time, too big, not transparent enough and too much annoying static icons like bits comment etc that distracts you from enjoying the stream.

   SOLUTION: make a minimalistic chat box that hovers atop the FULL SCREEN player. The user MUST be able to set size of chatbox, TRANSPARENCY and size of text according to their liking. At least have some presets so users like me can have a non intrusive little chat box to feel part of chat experience without breaking immersion.

   IMPORTANT: an excellent example would be to tune into streamer “Elajjaz” (Mizkif, extraemily and many more are adopting this as well) and take note of how he integrates a small transparent chat onto the full screen player on his end. The problem is that there will be a significant delay since the chat is on his end. But the layout is brilliant! A lot of other streamers do this too and it should be the new standard.

   Doing this will remove the black bars that you get on theater mode etc. small screens definitively benefit from a full screen with chat experience. But I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep it customizable and minimalistic like the streamers set it up to be. Non intrusive! Should not be in the way of the content at all (size and transparency). Also keep in mind that various streamers have different cam placements so consider letting the app remember what setting the user want for every streamer?

   Step 2: Bring back the toggle for “ notify me about new app updates”. I’m getting nagged into insanity 1-2 times a day about this and can’t image paying for a service that does this tbh. It never takes no for an answer. I want to check for updates manually when I have time!

   Step 3: bring back the option to use the old MiniPlayer when you swipe down on a stream, instead of the clumsy slow picture-in-picture player that you use now. The old one was snappier and you could tap anywhere on it to go back into the stream. The new one needs to be tapped once to bring up the options to either close or go into it. It’s super sluggish!

   I hope you find this advice useful from a loooong time user! A lot of people are complaining about how bad the experience is and this would be great improvement for sure.

7. Bug report: Coming back from ads, the screen goes black and stream stops

   When watching a stream who I am not subbed to, when coming back from ads, the screen goes black and has no sound. I have to refresh the stream to get it to start again. The time continues.

8. Stop the stream freezing every time I go to type in chat

   Every time I click on the chat box to type in chat the stream freezes and goes silent. It takes 30s to a minute for the stream to recover and refresh back. It’s highly frustrating as I am normally an active chatter. But now I am holding back from interacting as I don’t want to miss out on what is happening.

9. No way to access streamers profile while they are streaming

   If a streamer has at least one twitch story up, there is no way to access their profile (about, clips etc) while they are streaming

12. Errores continuados

    Error con anuncios en doble dispositivo en diferentes directos. Cuando un directo entra en tiempo de publicidad, en cuanto un anuncio termina, automáticamente el dispositivo secundario se queda en pausa, y así constante, sea 1 ad o 6, en cada uno de ellos se pausa cuando cada uno de estos termina.

    Fallos en el cambio vertical/horizontal que termina por crushear la aplicación y tienes que volver a abrir.

    Fallos en los anuncios y la pos reproducción del directo, es decir, en la gran mayoría de veces, si Justo saltan anuncios en ese stream, a la vuelta para proseguir con el directo, la pantalla se queda en “Pausa” y no deja volver a presionar el “Play”. Dado este hecho hay que salir del mismo stream y volver a iniciar la retransmisión, lo cual hace que vuelvas a tener otra vez anuncios cuando ya los has visto. Esto hace de que la fluidez al ver a un creador se dificulte.

    On the IOS app, in a game category, when searching for filter/tags, replace the clear button with with a save button at the top right of the screen. Also allow many filters.
