Restore Followed Game Categories on the Mobile App.
Currently, it’s impossible to check any game categories a user previously followed on the mobile app, which makes the entire feature practically redundant. We’re only able to view or browse categories sorted by “viewers high to low” or by “recommend to you” (which is often practically the same anyway and usually irrelevant to the games I already follow or watch).
Before the update, there was a list of all games you followed on the home page and it would show if any currently had livestreams happening and easy to browse with a quick tap. This was great for games with a reasonable fanbase but were older and not necessarily "trending".
As a streamer this feels particularly damaging to the retro game community, as it now feels futile to stream outside of "retro”, in the correct game category now because nobody is ever going to find you that way. It must be even worse for people who want to stream games in previous decade that are not yet considered retro but also not popular enough to be in most users recommended algorithm.
As a viewer, following games is now frustrating and pointless. There are also many smaller/niche games that people choose to follow in the hopes of catching someone actually streaming them. It is now impossible to know whether a stream of one of your favourite games is taking place without manually searching each game repeatedly at set intervals (nobody is ever going to do this).
Despite months passing and all the negative feedback on the new mobile app and cries to bring back an easy-to-read home page being largely ignored, at the very least please bring back this feature. Somewhere that is easy to see upon opening the app like before the update, so someone may have the chance to catch that livestream of their favourite game happening in real time.
It feels like a big loss for streamer discoverability and viewer enjoyment.
Thank you.
