Switches to another stream randomly while watching an active stream
I was watching a stream (where I’m not subscribed) and the iOS app suddenly switched to a stream (that I was subscribed to) on its own without me pressing any buttons. The original stream in question was not doing a raid and it was still active when I switched back. If this is a built-in feature instead of a bug, please disable it immediately

It's so freaking frustrating and annoying, it's been happening for days! I watch a streamer, few hours later I get kicked to a different streamer not even touching my phone. PLEASE fix this.

This has been happening for me as well, typically when I'm on mobile casting to my TV. Phone lying untouched randomly switches to a random (aka not one i follow) stream. Just odd.

Issue: While watching a stream on the mobile app. Another streamers audio will co-play with current streamer. After about 30 - 60 seconds. the original streamers audio will quit. Then about 30-60 seconds after that. the video will switch to the new streamer. All this starts happen randomly by itself. No interaction from me.
Happens on both WIFI, and Mobile data. In PIP, normal and Fullscreen mode.Issue started with the scrolling through streams on front page update, and has progressively gotten worse.

I can confirm that happens all the time on an android app, despite using most up to date version

Once again, I am here. The app is updated to v20.9.0 and it switched streams on its own.
That patch did not do the job. -

This app is remarkable example of the worst piece of software in history. Whoever authored last 5ish updates should not call themselves a software engineer

According to https://x.com/Twitch/status/1826397814865494393 this issue has been fixed & thus normally this uservoice ticket should be closed. But, as of 8/26/2024 community members are still experiencing this issue on both android and IOS

I have updated the app on my Android device and I am still being placed into other channels randomly. I have heard complaints from others on Twitch that they are still experiencing the same thing.

Supposedly this is a new feature of the app?

Same thing just happened to me. Not subscribed but a followed streamer. I had my phone propped up on my side, nothing touching the screen and suddenly it switched over to a streamer I do not follow or subscribe to only sometimes watch. I went back to the stream I was watching and it appeared as if I was the only one who experienced the issue.

This happened to me today 8/13/2024 as well. I had been watching a stream (which I am subscribed to) for over an hour when the app randomly switched to another stream that I am not subscribed to, and was not in my Following channels. I was able to return to the original stream, which appeared to be uninterrupted (no stream problems, dropped connections, etc.).

Had this happen this afternoon. 10 mins into the stream. wasn't even touching my phone. Auto raided to some random stream.
I couldn't even find the stream I was watching, even after clicking the link in their discord 3 times I had to manually search for the stream.
They never went offline, and most viewers were still there.Last week the app was crashing every 30 mins and the only fix was to force close.
